Donkey Talk....

I moved to Tallahassee from Jacksonville in 2005 and discovered St Marks..Although I have only been fishing these waters for six or seven years, I have fished all over Florida for most of my life. That being said, I must say that the people who fish these waters are some of the nicest people I have ...

Hope everything turns out well for you....Ended up with a mirrolure TT 51 in my achilles tendon once, and a sabiki in a friends ear another time...both times were scary and ended a fun day too soon...But I'm glad you're gonna be ok and hope you come in 1st at the tournament!

Marker 24 barge...

I went looking for Marker 24 barge today with the numbers from a top spot map...No luck unfortunately...Could it have moved in a storm? I found some nice natural bottom, but wanted to see the barge...Does anyone have the true numbers? I think published ones may be wrong..Thank you. Russell

Re: Help! Need advise with St. Marks area!!

Asking for Advice on this Forum is a great starting point..This is the best forum for our area, and probably the best forum in the state, to be honest..As for fish, they are there..On the flats where you see all the other boats, creekmouths, oyster bars, all the places you would expect to find fish ...

Remember this also...that balance point is the fulcrum...

Re: braid experts

I always tie line to line...Fish can see swivels and things like mackerel will attack them..Uni to Uni or a surgeons knot for me, usually with 20 lb. Flouro..I will use a swivel ON the spoon if I am using a spoon. If you're going to use braid, I would suggest a good reel to avoid wind knots...Stradi...
