Re: Top 3 Lures

Doom - How do you keep that Corky from spinning when it sinks? Every one of those I've purchased ends up with a curved tail that causes the lure to spiral as it falls. - Steve Stinson I bought waterproof flambeau zerust boxes for my tackle bag and lay them out flat in one long compartment. I fish t...

Re: Flounder Report

Awesome, thanks for the report. Any advice for gauging water clarity desktop style? Is there anything you consider a no-go that isn't obvious? I know a lot of spots will never be gin clear. I'm not near enough to the coast to just know from observation and I feel like at least half the time I go ou...

Re: Panacea / Alligator Point surf fishing

Bald point offers oyster bars that attracts bait and predator fish. Bald point at a low tide with incoming or out going current can b...

Not following.. a beetle spin? Is that list stocked with sarcasm?

Re: Top 3 Lures

• Jig Head w/Paddle Tail

• Mirrodine

• Zara Spook style Top Water

Colors and weight change from season to season but always have these three tied on.

Flounder Report

If you are going to wade / walk and gig, may I suggest you invest in some ray guard boots and leg protectors. I have been gigging and walking for flounder for years and one finely got me last year. I saw him and moved him away with my gig but he spun around and nailed my ankle. You do not want to b...

Re: Flounder Report

Is a bright high moon good, or not good, for flounder gigging? You want low tide, right? Or does it matter as long as it's shallow? Incoming or outgoing tide matter? Is it better earlier in the evening versus later in the evening? I've never flounder gigged before but I think I'm going to try it th...

Memorial Day

Very well said, Red Beard, from one Navy vet to another. I have been flying my flag all weekend long to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our nation free. They must never be forgotten. There is a grass roots movement to take place today at 1500, or 3 p.m., across the country. Thos...

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day y’all. Let’s not forget to take a moment from our bbq’s to remember those who never made it home to their loved ones. Honored and lucky to come from a line of military veterans who made it home to hang up their uniform. But my heart goes to the wifes, husbands, mothers, fathers, b...
