Re: Anyone have a Lanark Report?

my father is an unreformed bait fisherman. I haven't seen you at the reunions. My Dad is the same way. Might have been there........he's hard to pick out in a crowd of grumpy old fisherman. He has always been a firm believer in a frisky live shrimp and catch-n-fillet. With any luck we will br...

Do you guys have Live Shrimp at the store? As a long time fly fisher guy it pains me greatly to ask but my father is an unreformed bait fisherman.

Anyone have a Lanark Report?

I may be able to fish over that way this weekend. Anyone been out around the reef, Dog or St.George recently. I'd like to put my dad on a keeper to break in his new frying pan. A trout, red or even a spanish would do the trick.

Re: Recent water temp on flats?

Went to St. Marks on Monday. Caught one short trout that was cold, I mean, COLD to the touch. Can't give you an actual temp reading but it had to be in the low 60's. No bait or other activity on the flats. Water is still pretty cold.

Re: quick question

Look out for the FOG. If you look at the Beachview cams for the last couple of days it's been pea soup at times. Right now it looks like 50 yards of vis at Alligator Point. http://www.beachview.com/Beach_Cams/Alligator_Point.aspx St. Marks is infested with rocks and oyster bars........both of which ...

Re: Looking for a 22 or 23 pitch Tempest Prop

Kirt, I ran a 25" Mercury Tempest 3 blade on my 1890 Action Craft with a ProV 200. The Tempest ran best with the plastic vent hole reducers completely out for max holeshot. I tried a couple of other props including a 4 blade and found this to be the best combo of holeshot, speed, and it even pe...

Re: Shields Marina

Great Story. I remember Mr. Shields, Mrs Shields (Ma Myrt) and the tiny little store on the rickety old dock. I spent a lot of weekends down there, starting from when I was about 10 years old......now some 40 years ago. Chuck was a hard working dad back then and Brett was just a bratty little kid. l...

Anchor rope and chain for sale. SOLD

I have a good heavy anchor rope and chain for sale. It came with my dad's bay boat and is WAY more than we would ever use or need. It filled the anchor locker to overflowing and had to go. It appears to be about 175' of good 5/8" rope with a very heavy plastic coated chain. It's at my dad's hou...

Re: Lanark Village Bear Baiter Convicted

I'm sure having a bear dig into your trash and hang out in your backyard at night is a pita. You could always move to Southwood........I have never seen a bear there. Problem solved. Rita, I'm sure the woods of any local county are full of game violators that have never and probably will never be ca...

I had a wide front seat like that when I was 16. With that in mind I hope you can keep your daughter far away from one. :)
