Taylor Counties Annual Kayak tourny

Sorry to here about the deletion. Hopefully it was only done to eliminate confusion. From all appearances it was 100% CPR. It started out as a kill tourny, so even release optional would have been a big improvement. Otherwise, I would have been left out. Here are the results. I thought they were imp...

Taylor Counties Annual Kayak tourny

How common is it that a fishing tournament advertised/promoted as CPR (Catch-Photo-Release) is "release-optional" with nothing specified about this in the event's printed rules and/or pre-event captain's meeting? Don't bother to refer to the Forgotten Coast Kayak Anglers' forum for any di...

Re: Creek mouth fishing

There is s big difference between a small creek with 1 or 2 holes and a large one that goes on for miles. I would consider it rude to enter a small creek when someone was already there. The logical solution to someone anchored in the middle of the mouth of a big creek is to simply ask the angler on ...

Here’s a opportunity for the catch photo release folks to participate in a tourny. Get out there and support them.

Do tell where did you find 10 flounder? Surely further west than most folks here fish.

Re: Yeti type coolers

I would definitely look into RTIC. I've had both Yeti and Pelican coolers in the past and currently own 3 RTIC'S and they perform as good as the others at half the price. :-D I looked yesterday, not exactly half price. A 65 yeti is $350 a 65 rtic is $240 Apples to Oranges. Look at the internal size...

Re: Yeti type coolers

RTIC is basically a copy of Yeti. Its 1/2 the cost of a Yeti.

I packed frozen fish with loose ice to MO over 48 hours. I couldn’t find a drop of water when I arrived. The ice had frozen more than it had thawed.

Re: Let’s talk coolers

Not that this helps since RTIC is basically a knockoff of yeti. But for 1/2 the price, I belive you get an equivalent or better cooler.

I’m very happy with mine.

Re: Catching trout gotten harder?

If you want to see more tournaments go to CPR stop fishing those that don’t. I get really upset with kill kayak tournaments. Way to many kayakers lack the discipline to release a 26” trout when they already have a 24” on ice.
