I've been told they are good fresh sauteed in seasoning and butter in a pan. May try it this year

Re: Jon boat or Gheenoe for flats

I had a tunnel Scandy White with rear seat stick steer that was a beast. The hull was very similar to a Pathfinder 17T. In chop it rode ruff and was wet. Then I had a G3 1756 CC. It rode ruff but I could stand and that helped, it was a bit drier than the Scandy. Both were shallow draft with the Scan...

Re: TripleTail?

With the new limit size of 18", how will this affect the bags around here?

I read that they are smaller in this area, so will it be hard to get a legal size?

Re: TripleTail?

So even if you didn't see them you casted around the floating things? Did you use lures or live shrimp?
I was told by one fella that they used a cork set up or freelined to get deeper around the buoys.

Thanks Showboat

Re: TripleTail?

Showboat can you give some detail on the time of day, tide, any months better than others? Sounds like you targeted them, I assume you rode a lot looking? Thanks

Re: TripleTail?

Thanks
I was wondering if maybe they relate to a certain bottom structure or holes? Like they don't always hang on floating stuff, right?

TripleTail?

I've never caught one. This year I want to get some. How are you local anglers having success? I know about fishing the floating buoys and weeds and trash. Is there other ways to find them?

Re: Fishing this weekend Nov 21 -22 near St marks

I go out of Aucilla and head towards the west a lot. I see multitudes of rocks. I take my little 14' john with the 2 stroke 15hp to fish there.

Re: Aucilla and Econfina Rivers

Aucilla was still dark yesterday. There was a good amount of mullet in the creeks, and the reds were biting.
