I was able to get the Icom and antenna installed yesterday evening after I met you at the boat ramp. I was not able to get any talk on the radio, but I am too far north from the coast. It appears to be working fine.

Thanks - Steve Stinson

Drop on down to Woodville and take it to Waivel Porter. He redid mine recently and did a fine job. He is also very resonable and local to Tallahassee. Mine is a 3 blade stainless on a 150 Yamaha. If you decide against Waivel, the folks in PC are good. I am headed to our PC office April 19th and can ...

With the body of the flounder whole, head, guts, and scales removed, cut several parallel lines down to the bones with your filet knife. Then turn the flounder 90 degrees and repeat the process. You end up with about 3/4" square chucks of fish still attached to the bone. Do both sides of the fl...

See my post under Littoral's report. Fish the deep channels around Black's Island for Spanish and Flounder.

St Joe Fishin' 4/1/06

I headed down to St. Joe with 11 of the men from my church on Friday. Friday - the wind blew like mad. We ran off shore to the car body reefs, and saw some good fish on the depthfinder, but we could not scare up a bite. Went back inshore and ate at the St. Joe Marina. Then caught a few small trout a...

Porter's Skeg Guards

Another vote for Porter's here. I just had one installed a few weeks ago on my 150 Yamaha. Since then, I managed to hit yet another rock. At idle speed, the rear of my boat lifted slightly, then dropped back down on the other side of the rock. They will not help you if your doing 30mph, but at idle ...

Any reports from St. Joe Bay??

Gentlemen -

I am headed to St. Joe Bay this weekend for a Men's Retreat with my church. Most of these folks do not fish on a regular basis, so I am looking to put them on some fish.

Anybody been over that way recently?

Thanks -

I will be there with my 3 yr old in tow. I can fish with my regular partner or draw a name if there is no objection by the others to fishing with a toddler.

Name and Phone Number for Boat Rental on Cape San Blas

Do any of you know the name and phone number for the place next door to Capt. Jack's on Cape San Blas that rents the pontoon boats? This place is on the right hand side of the road just before you enter the State park. I am going down there the weekend of April 1st with a group from my church and we...

The bit in the Almanac about the wind direction is right on. I can't for the life of me figure out why it is true, but I have proven the theory time after time with my fishing results. :smt102

Those of you who are trying to send me a personal message - they are not coming through. Send an email to StinsonSW@yahoo.com

Bman - I tried to email you from the address on your real estate website, but could not get the message to go through.
