Re: Where to eat in Steinhatchee?
I too have not been impressed with Roy’s but it sure stays packed. Fiddlers used to be good food but imho has gone down hill in past couple years. Kathys is good but no adult beverages if that’s a problem or not. I usually stay at Good Times and eat at Who Dat. Hasn’t disappointed yet. If you get ti...

Not to derail but how do you like the FMT card? I’ve looked into it but didn’t think this area was covered very well.Salty Gator wrote: ↑March 4th, 2021, 5:18 pm I have that unit in 12”. I really like it and it will run the FMT chip really well, it has a faster processor than the mid level units. Glws

Try Trophy Creek Outfitters in Monticello they sell the good ones.Surfrdfisher wrote: ↑February 27th, 2021, 9:24 am I have been using a trap with only one entrance, makes perfect sense to try one with 4 due to the current, thanks!

Re: How to catch bait from a dock?
What type of trap are you using? Is it one with the entrance on each end or one with entrance on all four sides? I have both types and the one with four has out caught bait 10 to 1. One problem with a trap in high current is that the bait will tend to only enter the trap either the up current or dow...

You pretty much got it nailed. I’ve caught several and they all have come off of some kind of floating structure. Just make sure when approaching the structure to be as stealthy as possible. They spook pretty easy. Live shrimp under a cork has worked best for me.

Been in the MBG family for over ten years. I’m on my third 22’ Pathfinder. Absolutely love this platform and have learned pretty much everything there is to know about them on their forum. Lots of info there. I sure hope this acquisition don’t turn into a mess. Skip did mention on the forum that all...

Shimano Stradic Ci4+ reels (SOLD)
I have four, one 4000 and three 3000’s. They are spoiled with 30 lb. power pro. Only a handful of trips since put on so it’s virtually new. They do have minimal wear on the outside(light scratches). All were just sent off to Jim, here on the forum for complete service and overhaul. All bearings, ant...

Hook removal from self
Posting this up in case anyone finds there self in the predicament I came to face Saturday. I’ve fished pretty much my entire life (46 years) and have never buried a hook in myself. Been extremely lucky cause I’ve had several close calls. Well it finally happened yesterday. I caught a short red that...

Yea I’ve checked them. It’s an old feeder and parts are probably not made any more.

Re: More snapper days?
Why don’t they just take these days and add them to next years season so someone would actually have a chance to get out there. Going offshore this time of year is always unpredictable.
