Yes, bought our retirement home near Pensacola. Moving this week. Boat barn, close to the bay and sound, clear water. I'm really looking forward to it. The packing is over and but the unpacking is about to begin.

The fort ramp isn't free. City of St. Marks owns and maintains it. You can get an annual pass, but TANSTFL

Lots of areas in the Big Bend that don't require a shallow draft craft to enjoy. As others have mentioned, launching at Shields Marina or the fort ramp will put you in deep water regardless of tides. Fished a few times with RockyG in his LT25. It was a stealthy machine, but not suitable for open water like the flats when the sea breeze picked up or the river when 10,000 sand bar idiots are racing back to the dock.
