Re: Stryker T-Top For Sale

The previous owner of my boat (21'10" Mako) installed this t-top's legs too wide in my boat, and it was a little aggravating to walk around from console to front deck without leaning around it. The side frame (leg) width is fully adjustable on the top, I just didn't want to narrow it up and hav...

I'd say you would put the PVC pipe in a gunwale rod holder.

Re: Are fishing regulations and enforcement, out of control?

I have been checked several times out of St. Marks, around Shell Point, and in Spring Creek. Every FWC Officer I have met has been very friendly and professional, but I have always been legal. I'm sure there are some FWC officers somewhere across the state who are less friendly than the ones I have ...

Stryker T-Top For Sale

Decided to take the aluminum Stryker T-top out of my boat and go with a bimini top. Frame has a few small holes drilled in places from spreader lights, etc. being installed in the past. Has a homemade 4 rod holder and LED stern light on rear(both can be easily removed). Black sunbrella top canvas ne...

Re: Engine Overheating due to Sea Grass

Thinking I see a water pressure gauge in my boat’s future. How difficult is the install? It's pretty simple... Use a holesaw and drill where you want the gauge, tie the gauge backlighting into one of your existing gauges, route the pressure tube from there to your motor (hardest part), and plumb th...

Re: Florida Marine Tracks map card

It looks pretty good on the YouTube video tours they put up ... low tide aerial views that look to show most of the oyster bars and other obstructions... I was just wanting some reassurance before I paid for it. $375 is cheaper than a new Yamaha lower unit is what I keep telling myself. Lol

Florida Marine Tracks map card

Has anyone used a FMT map card from say Keaton to Carrabelle? Specifically the North FL card. In a lowrance HDS? (I think they’re only for Navico units right now, maybe lowrance, B&G, Simrad) I’m thinking of buying one to have the low-tide satellite imagery. They worth $375?

Re: Engine Overheating due to Sea Grass

pressure gauge is a great asset I have had one the last three boats and if I ever get another boat to replace the one I have it will have one , I add a water pressure gauge to every boat I have if it doesn't already have one, and look at it very frequently, as well as listening for change in motor ...

Re: Reasonably priced fish market

Mineral Springs on 98 in Panacea is the most reasonable I've found, but you'll still pay for seafood. Their stuff has always been fresh, and the different seafood dips they make are excellent too(they will let you sample those free). The owners are really good folks also. They do 10% discount for Fi...

Re: Headed to Shell Point this weekend

If you look on most maps kind of between Shell Point Beach and the mouth of Ochlockonee Bay, there is a square outlined "fish haven" box that is almost exactly 3 miles from Shell Point Beach in about 13-15 feet of water. I hooked the biggest cobia I have ever fought there back in late June...

(late post) but.... I'm seven days in to this year's vacation at Shell Point. Fishing has been so-so, and I can't really complain due to all the adverse weather over the past week. Trailering over to SGI in the AM. Maybe it'll produce. We shall see... Mud we will be coming through Summercamp Beach/L...
