Re: Speaking of reefs (Dog Bollard)

Had some cobia action out there a few weeks ago. Caught some undersize, but saw another fellow put a big one in the boat

Re: Storing large plugs like Stretch 30s

Re: Starboard

I've bought HDPE sheets from Grainger to build a tackle station & it's held up well. Cheaper than StarBoard. Heavy though. I've made cabinet doors for the tackle station from quarter inch cutting boards that are pretty cheap at Walmart. All in it was a ton cheaper than buying these prebuilt tack...

First cobia I've seen this year

They're starting to come thru... Spotted 2 big cobia in our chum line yesterday (somewhere within the 9 mile limit off Alligator Point). One hit my buddy's pinfish on the surface but pulled the hook. Next couple months they're gonna be one of my favorite targets Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I'm going out on the flats tomorrow. I've already decided I'm gonna skin & eat every puffer I catch.

Re: Good areas for a novice "captain"

Launch at the Fort in St Marks and run out to the lighthouse or even a bit further. Stay within the channel markers and you should be fine. There are some sharp turns, and if you miss a marker you could end up on an oyster bar, so I'd follow another boat the first few times or use the Navionics app ...
