Re: Recomend other Salt Water fishing areas

Why don't you try the surf within the park. The last time we were there we caught plenty of nice whiting.

Lake Talquin Crappie

My Daughter and I trolled for Crappie yesterday afternoon with no luck, but a beautiful after noon to spend with her. Anyway, when we went back to the landing, just about dark, four boats were just putting in going Crappie fishing at night. Does anyone know the depth they might be fishing and a gene...

Re: sheep head

I get my fiddler crabs on bottoms road going into Panacea. It took me about 15 minutes, with a small net, to get hundereds of the little cridders. Then I took my Daughter to Bloddy Bluff and went down river and we started catching sheep head. My Daughter caught the biggest one and she said she put t...

Re: sgi late august

SGI surf 6-15-12 Wind was 10-15 NE, so it made surf fishing hard inside the park. After you go through the pay station, your first pull off is a good spot to surf fish. Go about 100 yards to your left and fish there. I didn't catch any whiting, but land a 23" Redfish. We also went to the E. end...

Re: sgi late august

I'm taking the family to SGI today for some surf fishing, within the state park, and at the E. end. Watch for my post and I will let you know how we did. SGI is a beautiful place to visit. One thing for sure, if you fish the E. end of the island, have bug spray with deet to fight of the yellow flies.

Re: St. George surf

Fishing the surf at St. George is a lot of fun. Did it last week and caught a lot of whiting, and some small Pampano that we put back. They are
early this year.

Re: St. George Bridge Fishing

If you surf fish, go into the park, stop at the first pull off, like the man said use small amount of shrimp and a small hook. You probably won't
need a net on the bridge, just pull them catfish on up.

Re: Duracraft wanted

I may be selling my 16' Duracraft in a couple weeks. It's in excellent shape, 40hr Yamaha, trailer included. However it's a side console. I am
looking at another boat my buddy has. If your interested let me know. You can contact me at 850-508-0254.
