Re: Spring Warrior 8-17-2020
I believe you are correct. I see grouper season will open back up off Taylor on the 1st. The next calm day will see my boat offshore. If nothing else, I'll bring home some grunt and BSB, both make great sandwiches and fish tacos.

Spring Warrior 8-17-2020
Nothing better than launching early and watching the sunrise behind you over the palms and pines on our beautiful coastline. The low tide was scheduled for 0730, and about a foot and a half above mean. Father in law and I got to the ramp at 0630, as the sky lightened in the east. Wind was minimal, g...

Re: St Mark's 8/5-6
Very nice report. I am planning a St. Marks trip in the near future. I'll probably wait until it,cools some, but dinner at Riverside sweetens the deal.

Spring Warrior 7-31-2020
Took my father in law out Friday morning. We launched at 6:30AM, and had to be back to the ramp by 11:30 for an appointment of his. We really just went out because we had a little time and you have to make hay when the sun shines. The last couple times we've gone have been a little slow, so fish exp...

Re: Bottoms Road
I fished out of Spring Warrior last Friday. Launched at sun-up and back to the ramp at noon. Fished the outgoing tide, with the wind from the east, in stained water from the grassline to about 7 foot of water. Caught one 22 inch red and had something big and bad snap my line above my cajun thunder. ...

Re: Registering a kayak W/O a bill of sale
Thanks for the link. I have an old canoe I bought for $100 a few years back that has a bracket for a trolling motor. I had considered putting one on and never got around to it. My suggestion would be to go to the tax collectors office and see what they can do to help. Ours in Taylor County has not b...

Re: Registering a kayak W/O a bill of sale
Probably not the correct attitude to have, but as our cities are being destroyed and lawlessness is now rampant, I believe I'd laugh myself into cardiac arrest if I got pulled for operating an unregistered kayak.

Re: Hagen's Cove kayaking
[We had a great time out there today, weather was perfect and not much traffic. We never got a line in the water we were having so much paddling and exploring but we did run into a few scallops. I will be going back soon, thanks everyone!]
It looked like perfect weather. Glad y'all had a good trip.

Re: Hagen's Cove kayaking
Will do. I normally fish further north between Spring Warrior and Rock Island.
Kayaking from Adams Beach is also great and it's easy to launch. Not sure about scallops, but good fishing.

Re: Hagen's Cove kayaking
I enjoy kayaking Havens Cove, especially first thing in the morning. If the tide is too low, you may have to walk your yak out thru ankle deep mud a little ways before you can paddle. Not to bad tho. I have only scalloped once so far this year, and I headed south, around Piney Point in front of Gras...
