Re: Kings on the Beach

TT, The next report I want to read is the one where you are landing marlin and bluefin tuna out of that plastic boat. Seriously, that is quite the feat. Good job brother. I really feel sorry for your camera man. Does he ever get to fish or does he just follow you around waiting?

Re: Live Bait out of St Marks?????

Take the extra time to catch your own. Chum up some pin fish with cheap canned cat food and catch them on a sabiki. Fresh caught bait will live longer and be livelier on the end of your line

Re: Stolen Tackle

Had my tackle box stolen from my boat about 6 weeks ago. It wasn't the box so much as the $500+ worth of tackle that I am having to replace. I am not sure if it was stolen while the boat was at the house at Killearn Lakes or when I stopped for gas the next morning. I too like to have everything read...

Re: Ethanol

Ethanol mixed with gasoline allows the gas to become hydroscopic, meaning it will allow moisture to be absorbed. In the car fixing biz we have been seeing more water contamination since ethanol. I have been using the stabil marine formula as directed and have not seen any water problems as of yet. T...

Re: How to splice coax cable for fishfinder?

This is not rocket surgery here! Electrons are electrons whether they carry voltage for a light bulb or for a depth finder. Strip back enough of each conductor to be able to work easily. Tin the center conductor with a soldering iron. Then put a small hook in each end of the center conductor. Solder...

Re: Curado question

Tearing it down to the frame and having the schematic (internal parts breakdown) handy is highly recommended. You will never really know your reel any other way. It is also a great way to notice any excessive wear or parts that are getting ready to break. Soaking your bearings is a good idea too. Yo...

Glad it wasn't 3/4 of an inch longer

I caught this 26 1/2 inch Redfish just off of Lannark Village, 7/6/09 around 6:30am. If it had been any longer I would have had a hard time letting him go. This is why I really love skinny water fishin! :D

Fishin Fool's Report

Well folks, it was a productive day of fishing Saturday, as far as I am concerned. After fighting with my recently aquired used outboard and then finding out the trolling motor latch pin was missing, I was able to settle in for a morning of angling. I found out the hard way that my drag was sticking...

Probly the wrong weekend for this

Guys and Gals, I am finally christening my new(to me) boat on Saturday. It is a 14' skiff with a 25hp. I have done a little wade fishing over the past few years in this area. I have only been on a boat twice since coming to the Tally area. I did lots and lots of fishing while I was in central Florid...
