Doubt the Hag folks care too much about chat on a forum. As long as they have full up rentals during nice weather, they're happy. They are totally hands on owner/operators..... always around, always working on something..... to make another dollar. When they can't make a dollar doing something, they...

Plenty of fish/rocks 24-32' ,SSW around 220-230 degrees, and 10-15 miles. Crab pots are always thick in those rocky areas. Traps will be out of the water by May 1 or 15th??? Zig zag, do some figure eights, and eventually you'll see plenty of good bottom....... if the recorder is working and you're w...

ZLOAD    The approaching new moon will have grouper ready to feed. Plenty of sea bass, big grunts, and some red grouper will fill a 50 -100lb box in 3-4 hours of aching arms. Live baits or frozen sardines will bring in gags, but you'll be outside of state waters. If you ev...

Re: Mangrove Snapper?
Those fish are the most tuned in fish with the moon's cycle. in 40 yrs of fishing, much of it offshore, from the gulf's oil rigs to the Florida's east coast, the time near the full moon in May-Sept makes them "Most Accommodating". However, the weather may say something different!

Native Floridian, 63 yrs old, fished since I was a kid. Grew up around a small place called Orlando, smaller than Tallahassee in 1969, when I met my wife at FSU. Worked as electrician, a 100 ton Capt, and HS math/physics teacher. Yes, I've worn many hats. What would you like to hear about? I went to...
