Re: Eye protection (shades)
I find Costas to be overrated, my preference is solarbats or Oakley. The solarbat mossback gradient is hard to beat inshore but I do like the Oakley maritime lens as well. Glass lens have no impact resistance, I'd rather have scratches than a shattered lens, especially if a sinker hits them.

I have the original sjcam mini
Re: Cameras
Personally I wouldn't waste the money on a GoPro. They aren't that great of a camera for the money vs the guts inside. I have several and unless you need the remote, just save the money and buy a sjcam GoPro copy from Amazon or eBay. If you do want a higher end one with a remote, GoPro usually has k...

Re: St Marks 2/24
Looks like y'all had a lot more fun than I did at steinhatchee, never could get a red to bite, didn't try a gold spoon though. I'm sure the mullet would have been happy for us to catch a few so they would have been left alone. I'm going to have to check my spoons, I have had my adl spoons since 2015.

I found a few in deeper water as well, a few in 2ft, but nothing consistent, pink baits for me as well.

Re: The curse of a GoPro
It was still a fun trip, just had to fish in the boat basin. But we enjoyed ourselves and made the best of it, key West was definitely unique, I mean where else can you see a dude wearing nothing but chaps powerwalking. Grew up down there.. Conch Republic residents call it Key Weird. :-D You should...

The curse of a GoPro
The picture thread got me to thinking just how bad of a time I have with a gopro in the boat. I have tried freshwater fishing with frogs to try and capture the strike and that ended with no fish, a broken trolling motor, and the gopro falling in the water. I tried taking it scalloping and ended up w...

Re: Some of my favorite fishing moments.........
Thanks for sharing and lightening the mood. I just purchased my first GoPro yesterday. I can't wait to try it out on the water. Hope to get some good footage of my daughters using their cast nets. Bring the Spring!! Good luck with the GoPro, putting mine in the boat turns it into the Bermuda...
