Re: st marks this weekend

Wit ya SG, keep thinking this has to be the week it changes back, every week now for a month.

Switched up and tried Carabelle last Sunday, got washed out, never even wet a line until back in Alligator Harbor, Luc got 1 20" trout, no other sniffs.

Re: A week since the last fishing report!

Saturday story for another day, but to sum it up, no fish and lost the plug out of my boat. Fortunately I was still stubbornly fishing the Rock Garden so not too much harm. Cant believe the hard plastic external screw in plug worked itself loose, but I tightened it as always before leaving home. On ...

Re: CCA STAR Lesson learned

Except for Gary, anyone with big numbers must be retired or self employed? Luc, Savannah and i fished hard, often twice each weekend, and between Redfish, Trout and Women divisions may have had 50+. No winners. When I won the Cast and Blast I think i had 12 -14 entries out of about 1400. Didn't like...

Wow. Well done, and same to anyone else that found fish last weekend!

I was more interested in the reds.

Re: Floating Grass

I'm almost willing to call BS on your big haul of reds and flounder last weekend based on my last two trips out of the lighthouse. If you did that well I applaud you. and I agree with that, think Chris might be stirring the pot, though he did mention finding bulls offshore in a previous post. He su...

Re: Floating Grass

Its Shrimping Season Guys...just sayin You'd never know that by the shrimp they're selling for bait, at 50% higher price. Glad I learned to fish without them when conditions permit. Rocky, same for us, 1 just under 15, but she was way in where they're not supposed to be. Tough day for STAR entries!

Re: Capt Randal Leger aka Metal Mullet

RIP Captain Lager.

We bought our 2nd boat from Capt. Leger. Put many fish in that jonboat, and learned many lessons to share with my boys.

Floating Grass

Just confirming what may be obvious, based on the lack of boats fishing.

Floating grass to the east on morning high tide is ridiculous, hope it clears soon. Water is dirty and very stained.

Re: Anyone fishing?

Fished Sunday morning trying for STAR entries out of St. Marks. Got 2 trout to 18" in the shallows I fish, much to my surprise, then a 23" red, all on topwater, but really had to work for the double entries. At slack tide, the wind stopped as well (a pattern we've noticed) and man was it h...

Lanark went "members only", fees might shock a non-member, if non-members can even launch, others will have more detail, better to idle out, just my opinion.

Re: NFGFC Lanark June tourney Roll Call

Thanks Chris. That seems like a change to me from what I was remembering, but it has been a while. Just wanted to be sure. I think some part of Williams boys are in, weather permitting, but not to worry, Luc and Savannah are out of town!
