Re: Friday's keepers

Good to see you are back in the water. Two nice trout are much better than none and I've done that before. Have you tried the white gulp shrimp with an orange tail? The hit that color good several weeks ago.

Tell me more about the Salty Snapper in Valdosta. We've not eaten there.

Thanks for the report and hope your trailer soon comes in. We'll be down at Keaton several days this week.

Re: Headed to Keaton, How will rain effect trout and reds?

It should be a good learning experience! Go everyday you can. I always learn something. I look for slightly stained water no matter the deapth. I've been in four foot water and the bite stopped to find it again near in six foot water. Seems in deaper water it is best to fish on the bottom but not al...

Re: Ecofina Report

"Are there Russian or North Korean subs hanging around Econfina again?"

I doubt the Econfina but you can bet they are somewhere off our coast. We are off theirs!

I heard stories of WW11 German subs sank off our coast and Miami movie ticket stubs were found in what came up.

Re: Ecofina Report

We saw and heard the choppers and heard the aircraft. We were a few miles south of Rock Island and the choppers flew over us toward land. In an hour or so they came back, went out to the same place and competed with the airboat inshore with their noise making. :D Don't know which is worse! We had tw...

Re: Keaton 6-2-16

Blue Spinner, I thought about calling you on the radio yesterday but didn't. We were only a few miles from Rock Island near your territory. They bite New Penny or white with chart. tails. We were out of white with orange tails. I believe they would have liked that even better. Odd how they change bi...

We didn't get in the water as early as I wanted but only a few boat were in the parking lot. Our first stop had turn to catfish city all about the same size so we quickly moved on to number two spot where we found Mr. Trout at home. I was jigging and throwing hard bait and my wife was slinging a cor...
