ST Marks NWR buying Flint Rock WMA?

https://ocean.floridamarine.org/HGMSearch/BrochureDetails.aspx?srctype=pfs&title=flint%20rock The Aucilla WMA portion across 98 won’t be next I hope :( My Pinhook paddling trip was probably a couple of years away still. I was going to do the Wacissa and St Marks next and a reason why was because...

That’s when I go fishing of course lol! I have to work March 24. Rats. And the 23, 25 and 26. I don’t know if this cold wind stuff will be gone by Wednesday the 22 so it might be next week.

Re: Fishing Story…but this one has heart

Wow that is good stuff. You’ll get paid back for that as a guide 100 times over in addition to the fulfillment you have from just plain doing the right thing. Over the last couple of years service everywhere has just gone to heck. The company that bought out Super Lube is purposely ripping people of...

Re: I demand more fishing posts!

Speaking of the wind I forgot 1 more time I made it fishing since summer, making the grand total 4 times. I went down to Goose Pasture which isn’t the best bank fishing right. I’d been to the Aucilla and caught nothing so I went to Goose Pasture just to take a look. The wind was wild and I threw my ...

Re: I demand more fishing posts!

LOL I always go on March 24 for the first time because that was Mommy’s birthday. Then I go once a weekish until about May. Then my work slows down and I go 3 times a week as many people here already know hee hee.

I demand more fishing posts!

:smt021 :smt021 :smt021 :bang_1 :bang_1 :bang_1 I’m ready for spring and summer! I finished my upper Aucilla paddling trip last summer, then did pretty good with my mullet fishing towards the end. I’ve since been treated to a cold day trip to Lake Miccosukee, and I’ve been fishing a whopping 2 times...

Re: Hickory mound closed...

How about that dinky road past the even dinkier bridge that crosses the Econfina River just north of the State Park? I have used that road to get to some saltwater ponds and tidal creeks just west of Hickory Mounds. It winds its way to the west side of the impoundment. Satellite maps call the road ...

Re: Johnson Splinter Spoons

Spoons catch the hell out of freshwater fish. They're just not super popular for FW anymore. 1/16 and 1/8 oz weedless Johnson silver minnow will wreck bluegill and small bass. A black Johnson silver minnow with a pork rind was king of the pads for bass back before hollow body frogs. Daiwa makes a s...

Re: Johnson Splinter Spoons

Might as well dump a mini fishing report here. I haven’t tinkered and finished with my planned homemade thing yet but I did stomp away so mad from something else that on the way out I grabbed a fishing pole and left. I went to my secret Specks hole that I’ve talked about before and low and behold I ...

Johnson Splinter Spoons

I’d like to hear any fishing stories involving these, and if they’re actually called something else I’d like to know that to lol! It looks like “splinter” might just be what Johnson call their version of this spoon that I knew nothing about until I got some through an abandoned tackle box acquisitio...

I’ll definitely have to post it. I’m taking a break from working so I better not go get into my fishing stuff right now. If I did I might not get any more work done lol!
