We've been using a version of this for years as a beach/boat snack. oyster crackers/ cheese nips/ and small pretzels. use olive oil and a package of ranch dip mix plus garlic and dill to taste.

Don't go out any further than you can swim in a boat that size. You'll lose sight of land within 4-5 miles. Always keep breakdowns in mind and whether or not you want to be adrift in a boat that size should a storm with 6'+ seas whip up.

(D), A sixth grader does not need a phone capable of text, internet, apps etc. basic phone programed to only call 911 and three or four other family members only.
