Keaton. You'll have to use the ramp, though, the marina closed.

Econfina reports?

Anyone have any flats/creek reports from that area lately? How does the seagrass look after all the tannin-stained water flooding in there for so long, and how is the water clarity now?

Re: The good stuff (IMHO)

Kacey reminds me of a (much) younger Loretta Lynn, especially in the looks department.

The good stuff (IMHO)

Good music you probably won't ever hear on "country" radio.

Re: Boat stains

Like you I was excited about my new pole barn to keep my boat covered, and especially out of the sun and rain. However, I soon discovered that it did not prevent all kinds of crap from the trees( we have lots of them nearby) from blowing in,some of which cause stains like you have. I added some side...

There have been some incredible stories of survival from situations like this. We will pray that this is one of them.

Re: St Mark's scallop trip

I had a similar experience scalloping St. Marks last Sunday. Can find a few but it takes work and bored my kids as well. I agree with the report on the water quality and healthy-looking seagrass. Maybe we will have a good fall fishing season!

Re: Official Scallop report thread!

Went to St. Marks Sunday 7/19. Not many boats scalloping for a summer weekend day, and not many swimmers at the sandbar. Two of us got about 4 gallons over a couple of hours, but we had to work for them, they were mostly deep in the grass and hard to spot. Nice meat in the ones we got.

Re: I found the trout in St Marks

There was a boat sunk near the lighthouse Saturday; see my post in the Boating section of the forum. It had a yellow rope tied to a fuel tank and a life jacket on the surface. From your description of the cooler and what I could see of the boat sitting on the bottom, I'd say it is a good possibility...

Sunken boat on on flats near the lighthouse

Was drifting the flats about 1/4 mile east of the St. Marks lighthouse Saturday late morning and came up on a small boat sunk to the bottom in about 5-6 feet of water. Had a red gas tank and a red life vest tied to a rope apparently to mark it and keep the fuel out of the water. We spotted an FWC pa...

Re: Delacroix, La 2015

No place like South Louisiana for marsh reds. I've gone every year for the last 15; my favorite area is Golden Meadow, but there are any number of places across the south part of the state just as good. The "People's Republic of Louisiana" is proud of those out of state license fees, though!

Have you considered a custom build? A friend of mine had these guys build him a boat and could not be more pleased.
