Re: New Cabo PTs spinning rod FS
Price reduced to reflect 2008 model. Still a $50 savings for a quality rod.

How do you post photos from other web sites?
Can someone direct me to a thread explaining how to copy and post photos from another web site?
I've got the fishing forum photo processor bookmarked, but I'm trying to post a pic of a rod I'm selling.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Nicely done Capt. Ron and Chalk. That can be some tough fishing over there, especially with the weather y'all had to contend with.

Re: Lanark Ramp Open for Business
The Club could petition but since the Corp doesn't recognize the channel as a marked waterway, the odds of getting approval are slim to none. The basin improvements were sorely needed. Launched there last weekend and it's a big difference. The floating docks were actually floating on a negative low ...

Re: Ethanol / Water Question
E10 condensation mainly occurs with partially-filled tanks, so if you topped it off previously that shouldn't be a problem, BBG. As others have mentioned, change the filter and run the boat, then add a stabilizer on the next fill. I've had no issues using Star tron (made by Star brite). One bottle w...

Re: Fly Fishing Supplies In Panama City
Ditto for the overall tackle as well. I've never seen so many rubber worms in my life.
SW management said they would be adjusting inventory to fit the local market. Hasn't happened yet, but hopefully soon.

Caulk finishing
Here's an oldie, but goodie. Working on the boat the other day and had to re-caulk the seal around the transom cap. My maintenance mentor taught me to pour a small amount of liquid detergent (I use Dawn bought at the Dollar General) in a plastic bowl before you start caulking. After you get the bead...

Re: Captain Mikes Spoons
I've caught reds (and also trout up to 4 pounds) on the chartreuse, silver and hammered copper, but the pink is tops, by far. That's also the favorite color of the inventor, Capt. Mike Hakala. The single hook stays clear in shallow water, although it does help to bend the wire weed guard out beyond ...

Re: Lanark Ramp temporarily closed
Just talked to Mike and they are planning to use a backhoe to remove several feet of muck underneath the floating docks, as well as the rip rap off the end of the ramp. When I launched there yesterday just before the negative dead low I had to ease the boat off the trailer. A couple boaters have bus...
Re: New Ride
Very sweet rig, BG. Wylie has always built nice boats.
I've tested/fished several of his center consoles and the 24 Bay. Give us a performance report after you've broke her in good.
And I don't blame you about avoiding the Aucilla. Those rocks and that gel coat wouldn't get along well together.

This boat is still available and our group publisher will welcome serious offers.
Nice all-round rig for our stretch of the coast.
Shoot me a private message and I can provide more details or contact information. The boat is being stored in Tampa, but we will deliver.

Re: Rods On Board
My Bayshore has room for 20 rods, but I never haul that many. If I'm on my own, I'll normally carry two spinners, a baitcaster and my 7-wt fly rod. In the summer I'll also throw in a MH spin outfit for cobia or tarpon. If clients are on-board, it depends on what we're fishing for but on a normal ins...
