If you're hell bent on a cast net, go to dollar store and buy a bag of the cheapest cat food you can get. Throw it out and wait a little bit. The bait will come. Also works well in a chum bag offshore

I keep a box full of them. The jr model I've found gets quantity. Bone and pd is my favorite colors. 7-6 rod with a concept c and sufix 832 20#. Cast a mile, and easy to work. Love em.

I used to go out with a guy who kept 1/4" plywood in the boat. Had a small rod with a flag on it. We'd toss them out with a 10# weight on a rope. We would check it a few times a day. Caught Dorado and cobes
