Re: Rock Landing
Thanks
Re: Batteries
My third battery is an interstate and its still going strong for year 2. I bought it from Costco for about the same price as I paid for the Walmart batteries so I will go with those from now on. Another question, the cranking battery is not in a box and it gets a lot of corrosion on it (I have a cen...
Batteries
How long are you all getting out of trolling and cranking batteries? I have a cranking battery and a trolling battery that is just over a year and a half old with limited use and its already bad. It is a Walmart battery (Which I will never buy again).

Rock Landing
I am headed to fish panacea in the next few days and was going to put in a Rock Landing. I've never fished out of there before, anything I need to be aware of, places to avoid? A fishing report wouldn't hurt either!

Lighthouse boat ramp
How is the ramp at the st. Marks lighthouse? I usually put in at the state park but I will have the baby girl with me so I'm trying to shorten my ride. Is there plenty of parking? I've heard it's pretty shallow. My boat has a 10-12" draft so I figure I'll be safe. Thanks in advance

Re: St. Marks fishing report
Well me and a buddy put in the water about 745 this morning at shields. We started out in 3-4 foot of water about a mile east of the last channel marker. Caught one undersized trout on a white doa under a popping cork, caught another on a gold spoon. We had some strikes on a white skitter walk but w...

Re: Boating out of St. Marks
Thanks for all the replies. I think I will stick with everyone's advice and follow the safe route out there. Better to be safe than sorry. Maybe if I get to know the water a little better I can try some of the other routes that y'all stated. I have several different charts including navionics and Ga...

Boating out of St. Marks
Went scalloping out of St. Marks with some friends this weekend. Hadn't ever been on my own boat so I figured it was best to follow somebody that knew where they were going. My friends boat draws about 3 foot so after passing the last channel marker he swung out a ways where it was a little deeper. ...

Re: St. Marks scallops 7/9
Put in at the public landing right down from shields (st marks state park?) about 9 am. Parking lot and the side of the road was already full of trucks/trailers. Boat traffic was heavy going out and when we got on the scalloping grounds there were 100+ boats. Luckily we went to a spot past the crow...

Re: Carrabelle
Lanark boat ramp is a zoo right now. Scallop season is in full swing. Out of town Tarpon Guide season is at max. Rigs were parked a 1/4 mile up and down HW98 last Saturday. Cbelle has 2 nice free public ramps and a deep marked channel that is easy to navigate. I am going to be down there during the...

Re: Carrabelle
Is there anything to worry about boating out of Lanark and fishing around the reef or dog island? Can I get out and run my boat in the area? Anything spots to avoid?
