There are two ramps on the left as you come over the bridge. The one where the oystermen launch isn't really a ramp, just sloped sand. I launched Sunday, new ramp is great, there are now PVC pipes marking the end of the ramp. Canal has not been dredged.

I took a look yesteday and the ramp is complete. It looks great, curbs on both sides and a small divider in the middle. There's also a 1 X 6 in the water that appears to mark the end of the ramp, not sure if that's staying. The only problem I see is they dumped a bunch of large limerock on both side...

The new ramp does look like it's a bit wider than the old ramp, however it also looks like there is going to be some sort of curb or divider in the middle so the useful space may be just about the same. Up the Creek in Apalachicola is a great place. Try the gator burger (the gator is ground like a typical burger) and the oysters mignionettte.

Wevans is a wise man, start at the confluence of the rivers and work your way down. Port Leon creek and the pilings just to the south may be a good bet. I fished from the fort to the power lines last week and caught nothing but small sheepshead.
