Re: Squirrel Hunting Advice...
It seems like there is a thread here of common sense. If you have acreage then fire away in a safe manner. However, if you live in a dense neighborhood of back to back houses and very small yards........don't blast away with a 12 gauge. There are other options to deal with pest. Capt. Dave is far fr...

Re: Buyer Beware!
Don't make it just for site sponsors.
No matter how much money I send Brian send thru Paypal......even when I write flowery and complimentary emails and PM's........ I can't for the life of me be anointed a "site sponsor".
And I may need to sell something from time to time.

Hmmmm........that would have been the first warning sign.Jumptrout51 wrote:When I got the outboard, the throttle and shift cables had been cut into about a foot from the cowling
Sounds like he had to unhook the motor quickly or in the dark.

Re: Gheenoe & Riverhawk: Give me the skinny
I thought I wanted a Gheenoe/Riverhawk too. Until I ran back into the lighthouse ramp (in my bay boat) to get ahead of a little T-storm. The Gheenoe in front of me looked like it was close to getting swamped. The 14 jon boat behind me was just tooling along with the anglers sitting back and enjoying...

Like most early season undefeated teams FSU has played weaker teams this far in the season. What's your point?

Capt. Dave, I hope your BIL is in Bain Capital with Romney. It's going to take $$$$ to get that badboy to look like the boats in these pictures.

Glad you made it back safe Steve.......and it sounds like you will be back on the water soon. While we were fishing Sunday Silverking and I were discussing the merits of having a welded Jon boat for fishing the winter and the far-east. I told him I would be happy to fish with him in one......as long...

Re: NFGFC Tourny boat sunk
Luckily, the officer in question would undoubtedly still launch his boat and risk his life to save yours one day........in spite of your low opinion of him.
As he lifts you out of the water be sure to tell him what an idiot he was for taking so long.

Lots of them on Tally Craigslist recently. At least 4 or 5. The Gheenoe "Classic" is the widest and most stable. Saw one on CL last week.

Re: NFGFC Tourny boat sunk
Plenty of time for recriminations after the fact. The only really important issue is the gentleman is safe. Fishing toys can be replaced. I was attending a funeral yesterday and I promise you the gentlemen standing there would have done anything, promised anything, and given everything just to spend...

Re: Boat crash from inside (Video)
If you look closely he is motoring along smoothly at mid throttle up to the 5 second mark. Then the scene changes and now he is wfo and chopping the throttles as the props (and the boat) leave the water. (Pretending to be one of those offshore racer dudes) Anyone who runs a Fountain at top speed wit...
