Re: Who’s scalloping/fishing over the 4th of July weekend?

I plan on being in the Grey Mare area Saturday around lunch. I'm going to drift around some to scout areas away from the crowd.

I went fishing out of Econfina with a friend two weeks ago and we caught 4 shorts. The biggest one was 17.5" They were hiding under a crab trap buoy!

I'm glad the St Marks zone isn't opening early this year. Those little guys need more time to grow! I might go scouting this weekend.

rockyg wrote: June 9th, 2022, 1:51 pm What are they working on? The road? The ramp?
I heard there are asphalt machines at the ramp so they are probably resurfacing the road and parking lot.

Just a Guest wrote: May 30th, 2022, 8:38 pm Just an FYI, all the trout we caught Sunday had worms. We didn’t bother to keep a single fish today. Have others noticed the same thing?
How can you tell if they have worms without cleaning them?

Re: Boat Storage Tips - Tallahassee?

Welcome to Tallahassee (soon)! Seeing how you mentioned bass boat, I guess you wouldn't want to store it close to the saltwater. I know a co-worker recently checked on a spot to store his boat and they wanted $130/month for a spot in a parking lot with no fence around it. I had a unit at Storage Zon...

Re: Fishing the wind

The ramp at Shell Point is another option. The public ramp in Panacea will also put you in close proximity of Dickinson and Levy Bays, Shell point is a good option, but I don't know much about the area. The public ramp in Panacea you mention must be Rock Landing? I've always wanted to launch from B...

Re: No Reports???

Only one flounder got in the live well this Saturday and she was barely legal. Saw two porpoises working the grass line going in with the tide and came back out with the tide. A friend of mine caught a 18" trout in the same area but that was it. Looked like hard rain at the sandbar after lunch ...

Good to see you again last Saturday! Thanks for the report! We have been getting a limit of reds every trip recently so now I need to find some trout or Macks.
