Re: Lure Making?
Steve, I'm not sure about the airbrushing side but the folk at the N. FL Woodturners Club might be able to help out with the consistency http://www.n-fl-woodturners.org/ I have never been to one of the meetings so I don't know how the meetings are run or if there is the ability to actually turn wood...

Re: Anyone scallop the 4th?
Went down to Crystal River to go grouper fishing this past weekend. HOLY CRIMINEY there were boats stacked up on top of each other. The guide said that it doesn't take that long to get your limit and they are some nice sized ones. I've never seen that many boats on the water and the channel heading ...

Re: Let’s talk coolers
Good luck with your cooler search. I don't have a yeti but have seen how great they are at keeping stuff cold...but lordy are they heavy. I wouldn't be able to haul one by myself if it were fully loaded I have an older igloo marine that the hinges died on really quick. I had some leather left over f...

Re: Couple guns for sale
I believe that the IverJohnson is the Safety Hammerless Model. They were manufactured from 1894 to 1941.
Good luck selling the guns.

Contractors? windows and bathrooms
Hey all I am looking to have work done on my house. There are 2 projects that need doing sooner rather than later, though they may be able to be broken up into sections. 1: Windows on my house. I need replacement windows. I don't necessarily need ALL done at the same time but for sure I need my big ...

Re: GPS Suggestions (hopefully)
Thanks y'all.
Steve, I had hoped you might chime in since I knew that you do land surveying. I will see if my current Garmin has the ability to change the settings for update time. I am not sure that it does and I never thought of that as a possibility.

Re: GPS Suggestions (hopefully)
Oh and it was suggested to me by someone else that perhaps there are apps out there for this kind of thing? If there are, are there good ones that are not geared towards driving but the ability to use them in the woods? Also, I know so little about apps....can a gps app be used if your cell phone lo...

GPS Suggestions (hopefully)
Good afternoon all- This weekend my friend Steve and I went turkey hunting in a swamp that I am fairly familiar with but it changes some from year to year, especially when it fills up with water and some of my landmarks go underwater. I have a GPS that is about 10 years old and it created an issue t...

Re: Curt Camping
I'm pretty sure this isn't on the way for you, but the Devil's Tower Ntl Park campground as well as the KOA right outside the park are very very nice campgrounds. I was there early October last year. The last weekend they were open I think. Started snowing while we were there and there weren't a who...

Re: Turkey Camo
Buy a good pair of hand clippers and there is no need to have a blind....though I suppose that is a convenience to be able to pick up and move it. It's just more stuff to carry around IMO and my pack is already full of other stuff. Thermacell and LOTS and LOTS of the butane refills!!!!!! Or a whole ...

Re: What an Adventure!
Glad to hear it turned out well for you. It's definitely adventures like that that are remembered for a long time. I try to remember to have extra clothes because I get cold far too easily and water and food. It's always good to have a reminder from time to time to not get complacent.
