Re: Team Seatrout 3/16

Thanks Eerman. That's what I suspected.

Good luck if you're fishing.

Re: Team Seatrout 3/16

Trying to plan my day tomorrow. Is the tournament out of St. Marks? Couldn't tell from a quick scan of the site whether the rules stipulate boundaries this year. Not competing, just wanted to avoid the crowds. I need to christen my new BillyStix custom rods and new reels.

Thanks for any update.

Re: Lake Windermere U.K.

Steve,
Looks like the part of England as I remember it--cold.

Good effort on the pike. Next time try a DOA shrimp. Who knows, they just might eat it.

Re: Any resident marine biology guys here?

Peterson Field Guides series, Atlantic Coast Fishes Sport Fish of Florida/GOM by Vic Dunaway All three have detailed illustrations of baitfish (although many of the Peterson plates are B&W). Don't know of any reference book offhand that focuses on crustaceans, tho. You might check at Bill's in T...

Re: Marlin 1894 Lever Action Cowboy Rifle

bbb,
It's like the top link, 93731018. It was purchased new last year by my dad and I inherited it. Accurate rifle, I just wouldn't shoot it that much is the reason why I'm selling it.

Re: Chalk--Woody Wax?

Thanks for the response, Chalk. If it doesn't last any longer than that I'll stick with the old-fashioned elbow grease. I try to keep up with dirt/fish blood during the day's outing anyway, so clean-up isn't usually too bad. If you haven't used it, Scotchgard Liquid Marine Wax from 3M is great. Typi...

Chalk--Woody Wax?

Seem to recall a post from you about getting some Woody Wax. Did you get some and if so, how is it working out? I'm using Scotchgard on the hull, but I'd like something for the non-skid. WW is sprayable, right? Has it helped with stains/cleanup?

Re: Ocklockonee River one day later

Good on ya, Wadey. Those "rat" reds are always fun. If the weather will cooperate I'll be back out there this weekend, chasing some of their big brothers.

Ochlockonee River

Promised my nephew and brother a trip for their visit, but Mother Nature didn't get the memo. We launched at the ORSP around 11:30 this morning. Tide was still extremely low, but we managed to slide Fin-Esse into the basin and eased out the channel. Only a foot or so at the mouth. Saw Sopchoppy Redn...

Re: Rod/reel combo super clearance sale

Wadey,
That could probably be arranged. I have to do some boat maintenance one day this weekend since the wind is going to be howling, so I could drop it off. Send me a PM with your phone number and address and I'll give you a call to coordinate a time.
