Re: Family Friendly Fishing Boat? Is it possible??
I was in the same situation, looking for a versatile, family friendly boat to fish flats, offshore, scallop, tube, etc. As a Financial Advisor, I tell my clients: ALL Investments are trade offs. Boats are no different. We settled on a 21 ft Sea Pro 210cc. The deep v, not the bayboat. Pro's: Lots of ...

Re: Wind and Seas Report for Saturday Afternoon Please
Went out St. Marks around 10 AM on Saturday to high winds and a decent chop in close and 2-3's past the stake line. Fish cooperated from about 10:30 to 11. Managed a few keeper Trout over by Grey Mare. By 11:30 or so...lifeless. By 1 it had laid down nicely and ran back in on barely a ripple...beaut...

no ETHANOL at Costco
As info, just had a conversation with an attendant that seemed very knowledgeable about their product and situation at Costco. As of now their gas is ethanol free and they currently have no immediate plans to change that.

Re: Obama? I just don' know.
A rotation of beliefs keeps our country balanced.  If the liberals were allowed to run the country for 30 years 50% of the population would be on welfare and expecting the government to be the answer for everything. The corporations and the middle and upper class would be strangl...

Re: Non-fishing -- Top scenic river
That area I mentioned as "shoals" was an area I encountered several miles downstream. It was a shallow, rocky area that spanned much of the river. Not sure if that really qualifies as "shoals" or not. It is a slow moving river so you won't find any real "whitewater". As...

Re: Non-fishing -- Top scenic river
The Wacissa is incredibly beautiful. If you have a small, easy to launch boat, you're good to go. It is also Gin clear, you can see every pebble on the bottom, makes for nice sight seeing. If you do go, I have 2 pieces of advice; 1) About a quarter to a half mile down river there is a massive feeder...

That is perfect Tom, thanks. I was unaware of the other link you mentioned. This is a perfect "what have I missed since my last visit button" super accessible right from the main page. Very nice.

Re: Nav hazards east of the Lighthouse?
you're fairly safe until you get to the mouth of Horne's Creek. East of Horne's creek, you need to be very careful. I'm not sure just how far east of Horne's Creek the rocks go. I can only speak from my own experience. And I've never been east of Steinhatchee.[/quote] TC, where is Horne's Creek? Tha...

Latest Discussion Threads
Hey guys, I LOVE the site, been a regular visitor for about a year now. I find myself checking the "Latest Discussion Threads" section the most. Rather than navigating to and searching all the various topic areas, which is more time consuming, it makes things SO easy. Unfortunately, it onl...

In keeping with the theme...JT and Tincan go to a University of Georgia football game,... while sitting in the stands, UGA the Bulldog comes out and trots around the field, stops, and proceeds to start licking himself...right...down...THERE...JT looks on in amazement and tells Tincan, " man I w...

Re: Help for a rookie
Thanks T C and R C. great information. Definitely helps my confidence. With the cooling weather would I be right to assume 12 - 15ft would be MINIMUM depth to start a troll and search for good bottom?
