Re: Did anyone from GA get told to go home this weekend?
The Franklin co sheriff is indeed making up his own rules, he's now saying any one from outside Franklin co has to quarantine for 14 days and is spying on out of towners with deputies. He can't even read the governors executive order that only concerns la and the tristate ny, he's just stating any ...

Re: The wisdom of boat ramp closures???
There are many things weird these days. But Franklin County wants you to quarantine two weeks when you go there to vaca. Franklin County's Commission's resolution is illegal! Florida law does not give quarantine powers to the county commission, it gives those to the local and state health departmen...

Re: Just a heads up: Taylor Co boatramps are closed
Well, being the Governor approved fishing as an allowable activity in his emergency order yesterday, this makes no sense at all. Local politicians on a power trip. And the local Karen's thinking all of the nasty Georgians are the only carriers of plague in Florida You should have seen their posts o...

Re: Are we allowed to fish?
World has gone crazy over this virus. Crossing a state line is no different that a Florida resident driving the same distance to go fishing. Myself, I've been practicing the distancing, washing, spraying and such for several weeks. I own a place on the water and I don't leave it when I"m there ...

Re: fishing carrabelle
Friend of mine drove down to pick up a boat at Panacea and he said no stops, but 3 deputy cars were gathered in a parking lot on 98 at Shell Point intersection.

Re: Are we allowed to fish?
Thanks guys. I guess the next issue is can myself being in GA, come to the coast to fish. The governor in his announcement of the order stated that Florida could not legally stop any US citizen from coming to the state of Florida. From what I hear, after the State Senator from Georgia who had recov...

Re: How long until they close the boat ramps?
IMHO the closure of these remote ramps y the state, such as Econfina is really stupid. In fact, the closure of any ramps is stupid unless you can prove that they really are a hazard. If they are worried about folks gathering on sandbars, get out in a boat and police those sandbars. I pay the state a...

I could almost see closing the beach due to Spring Breakers disregard for us old folks, but the boat ramp too?
Better put your boat in and borrow a friend's dock MD.

Re: Lanark Lady Calling for Closure of Boat Ramps
The ramp at Lanark wasn't crowded. The ramp on the Wakulla river at 98 looked like scalloping season, but as a rule, folks are not gathering and milling around at ramps. I've seen quite a few gather on the sandbar at the mouth of the St. Marks, but this is overkill. Post the sandbars and have marine...

Re: Flats reports???
Fished Saturday and Sunday. When the tide turned and wind picked up Saturday, the trout turned on and we limited in a short time. Sunday, you could tell the front had moved through, and the fish nearly had lock jaw. Did pick up a couple of nice trout and a couple of spainish and one short flounder. ...

Lanark Lady Calling for Closure of Boat Ramps
There is a nutty lady on the Lanark facebook page calling for closure of boat ramps after the beaches were closed. She posted up what is happening in Miami. Really???? That ramp was my gateway to the ultimate social distancing. When I objected, she then thought she had the right to tell me not to co...

Re: Flats reports???
Fished a couple of hours Saturday. Didn't get into big numbers, but where I found clear water and transition from 6' to 3' we found a trout. The ratio of shorts to keepers was about 50/50. Saw schools of what looked like blues or Spanish working bait schools.
