Can't see the photo, but that sounds like an awesome day! Nothing like catching some solid redfish to bring you out of that mood!

St. Marks 1-16-2016

Rastus and I took our boys down to St. Marks for a day of father/son fishing action. We launched from Shields around 10am on a falling tide. Air temp was in the mid 60's. Wind about 1-2 mph. Started at the power plant with no luck. The noseeums had more luck on us and the kids were growing intoleran...

Lake Jackson 1-3-2016

Super late post! My buddy and I launched from Rhoden Cove at 7 am. Air temp from what I recall was in the high 30's- low 40's. Wind was about 5-6 mph. Overcast with the sun breaking through occasionally. None of our usual honey holes were showing much production so we decided to try fishing the shal...

Re: Panacea 1-9-16, 1-10-16

Great report! Glad someone got out there. I had been keeping my eye on the weather all week hoping for Sunday to calm down but sure enough the 11 mph wind kept me at home doing yard work. Sounds to me Red Dawg, that your posts are influencing people to get out there! Keep up the reports regardless a...

Re: Talquin WMA

Thanks again guys for the advice. I've printed out 2 brochures for Ochlockonee and Talquin WMAs and surprised the little guy tonight about hunting. Just have to get permits and license and the waiting begins!

What are your guys' thoughts on hunting squirrel in this area? I'm planning on taking my son (7 year old) on his first hunting trip in January and am currently seeking out areas. If this isn't a good area near Tallahassee are there any others you guys could recommend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapat...

St. Marks 12-6-2015

Took the boat to St. Marks for the first time this past Sunday and now I'm addicted to the area. I've read enough horror stories about the ramp situations over the years plus the crowding that I stayed away, but on this trip there was nobody at the Lighthouse ramp. Maybe it was beginners luck! Kyle ...

Lake Jackson 11-29-2015

Late Post! My buddy and I hit Rhoden Cove at 6:45. Cool weather at first but quickly warmed by 10. Didnt get an exact air temp or water temp. But I am working on making the posts more weather accurate. Also, the water level is dropping pretty quickly. I would say at least 3 feet from October. If you...

EZ Pump help!

Hey Hey, I took the boat out to Lake Seminole this past weekend and man was I welcomed by atleast 50 stumps! Sad to say but as I trailered the boat I discovered that a stump tore the EZ pump out of the fiberglass. Can someone give me some advice as to how to fix this? http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/...

Lake Talquin 9-25, 26, 27-2015

Hit the mighty Talquin the 25th around 7 am. It was overcast and very windy. The unforeseen cool air got us running for our jackets! Couldn't tell you the water temp but the air fluctuated from 70's-90's all day due to the wind. We fished around goat island and then the teams of 2 went there separat...

What a great way to hook kids on to fishing! I bet that trip will be among some of their finest memories that will draw them back to the sea.
