Hooked on Heros fishing day - steinhatchee
Fished with my friend John on his boat, took out two veterans from Lake City, we pre-fished Friday so ran out of Steinhatchee about 35 miles boated a couple of red grouper, tossed some short reds and gags and actually caught a red snapper or 20. Hard to get past the snapper so left them biting. Wind...

Re: Yeti type coolers
There are some pretty good videos of "cooler comparisons" out there I found the site below to be pretty informative since their video involved a lot of brands including some non-rotomolded coolers for comparison and they also open/moved contents around and closed each cooler rather than ju...

Nice! I got into the peanut dolphin over there once on some grass patches, they were slamming little 1/4 oz Spro jigs pitched to the floating grass patches just as fast as we could unhook and toss them.

Juan according to info here https://fishingdestinguide.com/boatramps-saltwater-MEXICOBEACH-PORTSTJOE.html clearance at the 98 bridge over the canal is 12’ +/- no idea how accurate that is, they suggest a second ramp on the gulf side of the bridge for height restricted boats. I don’t have a height is...

Mexico Beach week of 7/9 - 7/12
Drug the boat over to MB fir the first time in about 4 years. Its HOT but seas were very flat other than on Tuesday when a large offshore thunderstorm kept us in close and the waves were rocking my bay boat pretty good, came in very early and worked on my trailer bunks while the boat was off. It see...

Re: Let’s talk coolers
Upgrade one of the marine extreme types with igloo SS hinges, latches and their heavy duty SS rope handle bracket, works pretty well with my old 120qt marine cooler. I think thelarger number of screws spreads the stress out sone. You may have to make the rope w/wood handle but thats easy. http://www...

Re: Charter in the St Augustine area - after action report
As promised, posting an after action report for our 6/27 offshore trip off of St Augustine. We fished with Capt. Adam Petnuch of ReelDream Fishing Charters out of St. Augustine Beach. Adam is young (ballpark 24-25 years old) and pretty new to the charter boat world. On top of that he readily admits ...

Re: The Sad Tale of Bman and Cobia KARMA
Way to give' em fishin' lessons BBG... Beautiful Fish! Thanks for the kind words, Woopty. Honestly, after reviewing video, I think the problem with Bman's boat is they weren't calling 'em up with the right music... pretty sure you and I've noted before in past threads that cobes respond well to goo...
