Outboard Diagnosis

Took the skiff out this afternoon and ran her... I believe I fixed the issue. She ran like a top... or like a two stroke because I sucked up all the fun juice before dark.

Thank y’all for the input.

Salty Gator I do not doubt your smoked fish is good and looks good too. I smoked a lot of fish working at Mineral Springs, and ate a lot too. Love a sunset on the water. Good day of fishing and a box of groceries.

Solid Report! Nothing like being the first one out and having the area to yourself.

Outboard Diagnosis

Inspecting the outboard closely to see if there was anything I might be overlooking... the one fuel hose on the exit end of the fuel pump looks flat. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200420/ca6cebab3aac0cba8ea3b04077b4f9e8.jpg Really a bad angle and when I added a little down pressure to simulate ...

St Marks 4/18: A quickie

Well, the hub kit that came for the ole seapro was the right hub but had the wrong bearings, so we decided to sneak in one last trip this month by borrowing a boat. I guess 530 was too early for the cat: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8gyqslazykv5hfk/IMG_20200415_223937-01.jpeg?raw=1 It was a strange dr...

Re: Bladed jig

I have not thrown any of these. Not something I would buy but doesn’t mean it can’t get you hooked up.

If I throw a blade style hook, I throw a lazy man, which gives me a weedless setup.

But to each their own, all about confidence.

Re: New cobia regs

Anyone else spotted any cobia of late? I spotted one (not a keeper) swimming with a big ray in three foot while fishing a grass flat. I had to be around thirty yards from the hill. I pitched the swim bait I had but it spooked the ray... they gone. Was a welcomed surprise. Sent from my iPhone using ...
