Re: Gheenoe question for a friend..
I have an off-brand (Riverhawk B-60) that I love for inshore and river/creek fishing. I prefer it over a jon boat because of it's stability, but the others are correct when they tell you it does NOT handle rough water well. A metal jon-boat may be better for bouncing off oyster bars, stumps, rocks, ...

WE HAD 1.8 INCHES OF RAIN OVER NIGHT, NEEDED IT. http://www.intellicast.com/national/precipitation/estimated.aspx?location=USFL0401 My 4 & 5 inch rain gauges both maxed out. My buddy says his 7 inch gauge maxed out. According to this, some places around here got over 8 inches last night. That's...

ISO Utility Trailer
Anyone have a 5'x10' - 6'x12' utility trailer they're looking to get rid of?
I've looked at what I can get at Tractor Supply, and I'm not impressed.
Where can I get a good deal without driving more than an hour or so? (From Perry, FL)
Thanks!

Re: iso fishing kayak
I'd recommend spending more if you can, but if not, the main thing I look for is the weight capacity. My first kayak had a capacity of 350 lbs. I weigh 250 lbs. My butt was always wet, all of my tackle stayed wet, but I caught a lot of fish from it and had a blast. You can modify any kayak into a fi...

Re: Crabbing
I take mine all the time. I go near low tide, put in at a creek and wade with a crab net. I keep a bucket on the yak for the crabs, and I'll use the yak to cross deep holes that I can't wade across, or areas where the mud is too sticky. It helps to keep the yak tied to you as you wade so that the ti...

Re: Steinhatchie
Your best bet for finding any clear water will be closer to Keaton. The Steinhatchee is just now starting to drop below flood stage. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/fl/nwis/uv?site_no=02324000 Normal gauge height is around 3 feet. Good luck.

I've never fished that far up the river, but farther down river I've had good luck with any color beetlespin for bream and spinnerbaits for bass.
