Re: Live update from Keaton 10.25

Fished with the wife Thursday in Keaton and caught a few shorts, one keeper. Friday she didn't fish but I did and caught a bunch of short black bass and short trout and a few sharks, did manage one 17" trout a 21" red and a 26" spanish. Saturday the wife went with me so we waited for ...

Re: desperate for advertisers?

If you're on an iPad or tablet I know the advertising banners are usually from sites I've been to. There are all kinds of information gathering going on all sites we visit. I have actually seen my MX race bike suppliers banners on different sites with parts I've actually looked at or bought... It ma...

Re: Keaton Beach Marina

From what I've been told, it was Jerry's decision to not renew lease, not Foley Timber. I kept a camper at the marina for a while. Some lots were more than mine, but I did an average and at $250 (what I paid) x 30 RVs is $7500 per month. That covers a lot of overhead. That doesn't even consider the ...

Haven't fished the BBSC since 2006 I think. What's the weird rule? Is 26" a tournament max?

Re: Best Place to buy bait.

I've never had any problems finding this stuff at Crums but would like to find it in the St. Marks area. Appreciate any input. And he uses the profits made off enabling recreational anglers to pay legal fees to fight the gill net ban. Never will be able to understand that crazy contradiction. And R...

Re: Water clarity around Lanark?

Fished out of Lanark Wednesday and the water was dark.... Very dark. Went to try to find some pilchards at DI, but the water was muddy looking and couldn't chum any up. Fished between the marine lab and Turkey Point Shoal and did ok. Lots and lots of lady fish and HUGE sailcats to wade through to ge...

Re: Mercury Verado 150 4 stroke or Yamaha 150 4 stroke....

I've owned both yamahas and merc's and both were very reliable. Most motors are great motors nowadays, their reliability mostly depends on how they're maintained. All things being equal, I'd go with the yamaha too, but I also race yamaha dirt bikes....hahaha

Re: Keaton Beach Marina

Doubt the Hag folks care too much about chat on a forum. As long as they have full up rentals during nice weather, they're happy. They better care!!! At least what's on this or any other FISHING forum! If this was a dirt bike racing forum I doubt they'd give a rats azz, but this is a forum that A L...

Re: Keaton Beach Marina

Jerry had enough and there wasn't a profit to be made. Jerry decided to not renew his lease, Foley didn't force him out is what I was told. Ding Ding Ding we have a winner. If no profit one of three things has to happen: shut down, expenses go down or prices go up. Sea Hag apparently thinks they ca...

Re: Keaton Beach Marina

I paid $250 per month to keep my camper there. Not sure what the spots right at the docks went for I was told the most expensive was $350 but will not swear by that. I do know this for a fact, some lots were going to be $1500 per month. I counted over 25 RVs (permanent) and when I was there a few we...
