Re: Lanark/Carrabelle
The water is dark. I'm looking at it right now. We ran the length of Dog today twice and did not see any new pass. The reds were spooky and hard to see. We did catch some of the biggest trout I've ever caught here. Several fish between 3 to 4 pounds on the boga. All where released to make some babies.

My dad said the ramp at the Fort and Shields were both open and fully usable when he checked them as of 2:00 pm today.

Re: The "Official Debbie Thread"... Post your pics.
I spoke to Dennis at Shields Marina this AM. He said they were fine and open for business. That would seem to indicate that the Fort should be ok too. However........It would be good to get an eyeball on that ramp if someone is down there. The lighthouse has a lot of low lying road so it may require...
Re: gheenoe
I think those are neat boats. Very cool concept. I thought about looking at one for bass fishing and some fall river redfishing.......then thought about rubbing it all over those rocks and decided to keep looking for a tough and ugly aluminum boat.......maybe even a tunnel hull. You can never have t...

It's getting ugly at Lanark.
Heads up coastal property owners. We left Lanark at 1:00 pm today in a steady, no kidding, 30 to 35 knot east wind and driving rain. The water had already covered many of the HW-98 docks and that was at low tide. It may be a nice little rain in town but it's gettin serious down at the coast.

I wondered about the ground speed. That's about what it looked like from my old flats skiff........with the Pro-V 200 set on "kill".

BTW.....if you would be so kind as to turn around and show the shoreline in the background of your future pics it would really be great. I need some new holes.

Re: St. Joe Bay 5/9-5/11
Fishing with your son and your dad is priceless. Make sure you slow down and drink in the moment. It seems like time goes by in the blink of an eye........but the memory of a day like you had stays with you forever.
Re: Tarpon
It was fun when we started. Just a few locals who had little clue of the storm on the horizon. The first couple of years we called each other on the phone to share info, met out there at 11:00 AM cause that's when you could see, rotated around so everyone got a good shot, and thought the fish where ...

While I'm sure Capt. Dave appreciates the recommendation there is generally not room on a flats skiff for 5 people........even one as sweet as that Bayshore of his.

Re: A Few Questions
When I tried to get a life long fishing buddy to try my fly rod he told me that while "I may have caught all the fish I ever wanted to catch and was happy to fish with one arm tied behind my back........he had not". :) Often times when I stand there with the fly line wrapped around my feet...

Re: 2002 Duracraft 1860 question
On our Motorcycles the reserve position uses the same tank but is connected to a longer fuel pickup. So when you run out on the main setting you just switch to reserve and it drains the rest of the tank. Just a thought. Can't tell much from the pics. Congrats on the new to you boat. Hard to wipe the...
