Clear / sparkle soft plastic grub thingy (Walmart cheapo) on a red jighead. Under a CT or bounced on the bottom. Seems to catch fish every trip. They've even hit it just drifting under a CT behind the boat - and not just little fish, plenty over 20". It looks sorta like a poorman's DOA shrimp....

Sounds very exciting, especially the topwater action. One tip is to always sharpen your hooks on your plugs, or do what I do, replace the factory hooks with some good Gamakatsu or Owner trebles, its amazing how many hook ups a plug with very very sharp hooks will catch. Lots of times you will hook t...

I have always liked to hook them through the tail, about where it bends when they flip it back. Shrimp swim backwards when fleeing a predator, so when you hook it in the tail and jig it appears to be fleeing, therefore it may look a more natural.

Sounds like a great time, way to go!! Sounds like a schools of Jacks and Blues, with some Cobia and trout thrown in. Lots of time the trout will follow behind a school of fish that are feeding and eat the left overs for any easy meal, Cobia probably do the same thing seeing how the follow ...

We fish out of Keaton regularlly, and have the best luck north of the channel. Go about two to five miles north and look for clearer water with good live grass. Fish can be anywhere from 2 ft to 6 ft deep this time of year. If you fish to far north you will get real close to spring warrior, which wi...

All the information I have read says to you want to use a charger with more than 2 amps, the problem isn't neccessary the amperage, but the time it takes to recharge. You do not want the battery charging too long, as that can cause damage to it over a period of time. I thank a 10 - 12 amp charger is...

chalk, Its just an everstart (i think). I originally thought that it may be a battery problem but every tester I have put on it says its good. Here's something interesting...yesterday I let the trolling motor run for probably 4 hours solid out of the water with barely any change in the battery volt...

At least ya got out there. There's nothing like a day on the water. I never have had much luck South of keaton, always leave there and do better North. Us neither. But we thought we would give it a try. No luck, as you said we headed north after that. I think where we caught those fish was a...

Keaton Beach Report 4/15 Inshore

Started fishing at about 10:30 and fished until about 5:00pm Wind started at about 7 mph and was blowing 15+ at 5:00pm. Started fishing south of Keaton in 4 - 6ft of water with only a couple of shorts. The grass beds there did not look good. They were covered in some sort of fluffy looking algae bal...
