AT & T Vs. Verizon
Has anybody else noticed a degraded Verizon signal around the Econfina area? For the past 8 years or so, I have been calling my wife either from the Econfina Ramp or Jr's store on my way home from fishing to let her know that I am off the water. However the past two weekends I have not had service i...

I bet there's also some very relieved grouper off Carabelle right now.

Thanks to you and Rick for putting on a smooth tournament. I enjoyed seeing everybody again and we will see you at JR's on December 3rd to see what next year may bring.

Re: Carrabelle Fishing Tips
As you are probably noticing from all the replies to your post, the offshore guys aren't big on sharing their spots. :D I am an inshore fisherman, but I can tell you that as it gets colder you need to go offshore and troll with Mann's Stretch plugs or something similar. Watch your bottom machine as ...

Jay -
I will be there - in case you need a count for the food it's just me for the meeting, then myself and June Maxwell for the tournament.
Thank you.

Re: Reminder about Australian Gold Sunscreen vs Flies
Wow. I wasn't aware that Sunsect was out of business. I guess I have been surviving off the product I had stashed in my various boat compartments for a long time. I will have to keep an eye out for some. Hopefully they will come back or somebody else will invest in the business. It was a good produc...

Re: Reminder about Australian Gold Sunscreen vs Flies
I will check out Australian Gold. The only two things I have found that work for both the biting black flies and yellow flies are Sunsect and Permetherin. I don't put sunsect above my eyes because it is very hard to get out and burns like crazy if you get it inside your eyes. Permetherin is a bit di...

Re: Pond Boat Wanted
I appreciate all the replies to this post. I was able to make a deal with BBB on this thread and pick up a small fiberglass jon boat. It''s down at the pond now and has already produced some nice bass and specks. Meanwhile I am scrounging around my barns and sheds to see what I can find to...

Re: Keaton/Spring Warrior Fall fishing??
I would say the fishing is driven more by the temperature than the month. The best time varies depending on how cold winter gets and how much rain it brings in the Fall. Rain and dark - trashy water tend to mess it up some. The past couple days here (I live in Lamont to the South of Monticello) have...

Re: St Marks line
I am not sure which line of poles you are talking about. There is the remnant of an old dock there right near the landward end of the real long oyster bar that runs perpendicular to the shoreline. That bar is a good place to wade or kayak fish. There's a deep channel that cuts around the landward en...

Re: Pond Boat Wanted
Dale - I looked for a picture of a Pelican Bass Hunter on line and only found pics for "Pelican Bass Raider". Is that the same thing? I told a guy in Bainbridge I would come look at his boat. Let me check that one out and I will get back with you. thank you for your reply. - Steve Stinson

Pond Boat Wanted
I am looking for an old pond boat to keep at the shore in my back yard. It does not have to be able to handle anything bigger than a trolling motor and I don't need a trailer. This boat will be used on-site only once it gets here. I would prefer a fiberglass boat over aluminum as they are quieter an...

Thanks - I will see what Black Tip offers. I tried to order some Hydro Turf, but they are backordered on the light grey.
