Sounds like a nice relaxing day!
think I'll try to get out this weekend. Anyone finding any flounder out on any of the reefs?

Vermillion snapper
With gag grouper & red snapper closed, does anybody fish this time of year for vermilion (beeliners)?

2000 Yamaha 200 HPDI motor
Haven't decided yet, but I've been getting tempted to do a 4-stroke re-power on my 21' Wahoo. Selling my 200 HP Yamaha HPDI (2000 model year) would give me a down payment and help me decide, and I'd rather sell it while it's on the boat so I can show it running. My Wahoo planes out quickly, runs top...

Re: St Mark River
Took us all morning, but we finally found 'em. Tried lots of spots down river, near 4-mile creek, up East River, etc. The farther we went toward the lighthouse, the more the water temps dropped. 59 at the fort, 54 degrees by marker 14. Went up to the powerplant and all we caught were little sand tro...

Re: Inshore/River fishing: what am I doing wrong?
Still some leftovers from the rainwater runoff and knocking down the salinity as well. I know we all watch water temperature, but does anybody actually measure salinity when they're trout fishing in the river? Or just taste the water?

bimini top cheap to a good home
I installed a T-top on my Wahoo 21 and now have a bimini top taking up space in my garage. Blue canvas is in excellent shape with self-enclosed zip-up storage. Frame tried to wrestle with a tree and lost, but I've repaired it to strong (but not pretty) working function. 77" wide, 64" tall....

Re: Monday afternoon St Marks river
Good point. I just look at mine to see their little smiling fish faces, laughing when they skunk me.

Re: Monday afternoon St Marks river
Good question!
I can see clumps of individual fish on the structure scan as well as some clusters and upside down vees on the fishfinder. Usually in the winter if I see this I can catch some trout.
Do you have a way to be sure they're not just mullet?

Monday afternoon St Marks river
Just had a few hours to get out Monday afternoon, but I wanted to get out and run the Wahoo after some fuel line issues. Launched at the fort and giddyupped down river. Found clumps of fish on the old fishfinder that looked like schools of trout beginning to clump up with the cold weather, but could...
