Very nice video. Much better than the filet and release guy.(what a lesser-on, he would have to be smarter to be a moron) Some great catches to be proud of. The Grouper and Cobe were especially fine catches. I hope yo uare able to get out soon and maybe add to the video.

Re: GPS Depth Finder?
Thanx Liz, but I am looking for depth finder capabilities also.
KT, That is too funny. Actually,I am really looking for a GPS/Depthfinder. I am pretty good at finding the fish.....they are usually on the end of my line.

GPS Depth Finder?
I am looking to purchase a GPS Depth/Fish finder for my 14" Skiff. I am thinking of either a Garmin or Humminbird. Both have their strong points. I am looking for feedback from users of both. I am interested in how accurate the maps are, how easy it is to read in bright sun, ease of use, etc......

Re: Why do trout like crazy colors?
TC, I think you just might have something there. I have caught fish on one color and my buddy is not on his color of choice. Then we switch colors and I start catching on his color and he is not on mine. I think it has more to do with presentation than color. I have talked to guy that say they alway...

Re: Aggrevated!!!!!! Any suggestions????
Remember it only takes three things to make it run: 1 Fuel: 2 Compression: and 3 spark. Assuming that you have compression the starting fluid becomes your fuel so you are down to spark. Probabley a coil. Actually it takes 4 things to make a bang in the cylinder, you also need air. Sometimes there ca...

Re: Any St Joe scallops left to catch?
I don't know about St. Joe, but there have been lots of boats between the lighthouse and the rock garden with dive flags up recently. I can't imagine those folks spending too much time out there without scooping up at least a bucket full.

Re: Florida Keys Trip Report
Makes me want to get back to the Keys, even if it is on someone else's boat. Inshore, offshore or even just wading, the fishing and the sunsets can not be beat. Thanks for the pics.

Welcome. I hope you get a chance to wet a line in our area. I think you will find it productive.
Re: Fish ID
Sure sounds like a Triple Tail to me. I seem to remember reading in the description this fish was all black. I have seen lots of Snook and never a one was black, even way up the Caloosahatchee in the feeder creeks. Here are some pics of Triple Tail for your brother to compare to http://www.picsearch...

Sunday at Saint Marks 8/30/09
I put in at the lighthouse at almost 7am. I was the first boat to launch, which surprised me. Even though low tide was only a little over an hour earlier there was still plenty of water at the ramp. I headed east with the thought of exploring the creeks behind Grey Mare for Reds. On my way there I r...

Re: No motivation.........
I have a sure cure. Give me your boat, rods, reels, and tackle. When you don't have any of that stuff you will be missin it and the reason for it almost instantly. Then you go out and buy all new stuff and you will be happy when you get to try it out.
Problem solved.

Which Day?
I am only going to be able to spend one day fishing this weekend. I have a choice of either day. I like the tides of Sunday, but the weather for Saturday looks better. I am really wanting to target Reds in the creeks around Grey Mare Island. Keep in mind I have a 14' flat bottom boat and will be put...
