Recommend rod and reel for pompano fishing on surf and pier

Hello Please recommend a rod and reel for surf and pier fishing pompano and trout. I plan to use mono. Thanks! Whatever you can afford would be my first response, that gets you fishing. 3000-4000 series spinning reel paired with 7- 7’6” rod would allow you to fish for anything inshore. From pomp, t...

Re: Engine repair?

Never what anyone wants to hear; but if you want it done quick you best get to learning how to fix it..

Porter Marine is my vote; but I know they have been running wide open since spring.

Forecast is wrong!!!

Went out yesterday afternoon and it was slow, managed some trout and a blue fish. Wind and tide working against one another is never fun. But was quality time with the family none the less. -TGBTG- https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200615/413bc0213b244140c7b0bd0225108e32.jpg Sent from my iPhone usi...

Re: Forecast is wrong!!!

This whole year has been wrong.... can we go back to winter and start over? Out of all the winds North winds are my least favorite.

Mirrolure Spoons

Saw that Mirrolure acquired the LB Huntington company. And will be selling Drone Spoons.

Didn’t mean to post in the boating section**

Boat Sales Are Up

The housing market has been the same way. It hasn’t slowed down with everything going on. Our realtor said rates have stayed low and homes are selling fast.

Trailer Weight

The trailer plate has fallen off somewhere through the years and wasn’t there when I purchased it. Wasn’t sure if it was Shields exactly, the woman at the tag office said it was a place in St. Marks. Hard to understand with a mask. The tag office wants the trailer weight before I can get my tag. So ...

Trailer Weight

I have to put the boat in the water first, and get the dry weight of the trailer.

Re: Scalloping....

Hopefully Tropical Storm Cristobal will have minimal impact, although Hurricane Center is warning about storm surge into the Big Bend. Too much fresh water/run-off doesn't bode well for the bi-valves. I know it, and it’s been so promising having a dry spring. But who knows it’s nature, as soon as I...

Scalloping....

Stay searching for them, sometimes I think I see one flipped over, but it turns out to be someone’s trash.
Would be nice to get a mess for a dinner or two and I’d leave them alone.
