Re: WTB: A large manly conventional reel

I know I cant stop the sharks or Goliaths, but I do want to stop the AJ's when the season opens again, so that would be my primary goal for this rod/reel.

I have certainly felt the Goliath attack, and the shark...

I have a broomstick of a rod, ready to go!

Re: WTB: A large manly conventional reel

You can buy a new Penn Senator Special 114H2 with star drag for $135. Might be able to find a used one at a pawn shop, but then you don't know how it was treated/cleaned. 22 pounds of drag. But why mono? Virtually no stretch and more abrasion resistance with braid, plus more line capacity. If you'r...

Looking for something to spool some 100# mono and quit getting wrecked by big fish.

Doesnt need to be new or fancy, just strong.

Re: Wakulla River questions and misc reports

You guys do a little search on and about Edward Ball, WS and the fence. Little history there, at least from what I've always been told. "Equally interesting in Wakulla’s history is that of entrepreneur, financier, and railroad magnate Edward Ball, who owned a large tract of land around the spr...

Re: Nice rig

Everglades 435CC, Quad Yamaha 350s? Gorgeous boat, 44' of pure adrenaline. Also a cool appx $750k. I'll take a van down by the river under the bridge and this thing all day.... and still not be able to afford the fuel bill! I wonder if its a new (used) purchase or vacation over 4th holiday. Sounds ...

July 4th Weekend

Managed three days on the water this holiday weekend, despite the awful weather forecast and the expected crowds. As expected the water temps were in the 85+ range, and the fish were scattered. Friday, fished the inshore shallows with Fishin Chris on the Ketchup Packet, which is a speedy comfortable...

Re: Scalloping 4th of July weekend

We hit St. Marks today, I suspect there were no less than 100-125 boats around. We had 6 folks in the water and it took quite a few stops and several hours to get a boat-limit. That being said, it was a great day on the water with family and friends nonetheless. Sounds like a great day. How was the...

I need a bigger boat. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk No you don’t, my boat is smaller than yours. Tailwaters and I fish together. We were in sight of k tower. Just spend some time looking at your bottom machine. After we got our limit and 2 gags on Sunday, we went looking for new stuff. Picke...
