Re: Minn Kota i pilot review

Ive got the Ultera (self deploy) model and can't say enough about it. Having the ability to deploy the motor and trim the motor up or down from anywhere on the boat is very cool. The track mode is perfect for drift fishing on the flats. Start getting into fish, simply start the track and it will rep...

St. Marks 1/4/17

Fished St. Marks yesterday. Launched at the Fort. Ran up past the power plant to the third bend in the river. Water temp still a little too high. 65.5 in the A.M. Ran out to long bar and threw everything we had from top water, gulp, spoons and live shrimp. Ended up with 2 short trout. Not complainin...

Re: Trout at the power plant?

To get to the power plant, put in at Shields or at the Fort. Go left and power plant just up on your left. Trout and reds come up into the river and great fishing. I usually troll from the power plant to up around the third bend in the river with a paddle tail grub on a jig head. Bottom fishing with...

Trout at the power plant?

Anybody tried fishing up the St. Marks river by the power plant yet this year? Going Friday and thinking about giving it a try. Usually starts to pick up when the water temp gets in the mid-low 60"s.

Charter Fishing in the Key's

Just got back from 3 days of fishing in the Keys. Did one day on the flats, one day reef fishing and one day off shore. Absolutely amazing! Caught a limit of nice trout and mangrove snapper on the first day. On the second day, limited out on yellow tail snapper and got a 30lb black grouper. Third da...

Re: Boat storage

I keep my boat at Stowaway Marine in Crawfordville. $53.00 per month and gated with security code. Good people to do business with.

Re: Lighthouse boat ramp

I launch from there 2 or 3 times a week and rarely any issue getting in and out. With that said, winter time is a different story with negative low tides. If launch at low (or near low tide), back in slowly. If you feel your are bumping into something backing up, STOP and either push your boat off b...

Free to a good home!

Moving and changed boats. Got Bimini top (I think 6') and two clam shell pedestal seats and will give them to anyone who thinks they could get some use out of them. Just P.M. me. I live in Southwood (S.E. Tallahassee).
Thanks,

Re: St. Marks

Pinfish are certainly abundant. I use a Sabiki (only three hooks to cut down on tangles) and use a very small piece of gulp on the hook). Can find the pins easily on the grass regardless of water depth. Suggest you fish 7' to 9' of water. Great place to start is around the stake lines. Just need to ...
