Yep, had the sock out. Strong wind + tide = fast ride! Thanks for the report. A drift sock or sea anchor is invaluable when it's windy like it has been. I rigged one like this with a dock line with eye splice. Thread the splice through the bow cleat and it really slows the drift so you can keep bait...

Visibility was definitely good and pretty much saw all bottom where we were. We saw a few other reds swimming around but no bonanza.

The wind & floating grass made things tough, especially in the AM but the trip ended up productive on the incoming tide midday when the wind died down a bit. Landed 2 reds, 29" & 28" and 3 keeper trout, all in 3-5ft of water in the eastern flats drifting. Both top-water, when absen...
