Re: What was I doing wrong on Sunday?
I like a good outgoing tide to concentrate fish. Moving water is your best friend. When I fish a bar, structure or the like, I just dont throw shallow to the bar, I try to survey the water flow and ledges. These provide good ambush points if your baits are presented naturally. With this clear water...

St Marks 12/17 night trip
Hit the water Friday afternoon about 1pm with two buddies Brian and Marty. Hit creek mouths on the last of high tide (1:47 pm) and into low tide (6:37 pm). We caught trout on live shrimp on bobbers, but lures produced bigger trout and some nice surprise hard fighting Bluefish. We fished the high tid...

Re: St. Marks 12/11--12/12
Nice report. We are having an unusually warm and dry early winter. You must have local knowledge and a very shallow draft boat to have fished that area this weekend. The backcountry does pretty good and I sure dont speed to many places thats for sure. the south wind on low tide helped tremendously ...

St. Marks 12/11--12/12
Fished various creeks from The lighthouse to the Econfina. The trout and red bite both days was superb. I used mainly Yozuri and Mirrolures, and with such a great bite, was able to experiment with color variants. The same baits in different colors produced (or did not) incredibly different results. ...

Re: Trolling strategies
I continue on my way and fight the fish at the same speed he bit on. About halfway to the boat i will back of the throttle once i am sure he is clear of the structure I caught him on.

St Marks 5 22,-23-24
Fished Friday after work and all day Saturday and Sunday. It was windy all 3 days with weird times that it died down for 20 or 30 minutes then picked up again. Water clarity was about a C to C+ and the seagrass doesn't look too great for mid May in my opinion. The bite was so so Friday and it was to...

Pro line with 300 e-tec for trade
I have a 1989 Proline 23 ft walkaround with a 2011 etec 300 horsepower motor. The motor has a code and I haven't been able to start it. It has been sitting since last summer I do not really have the money to take this pain to get fixed so I would like to trade it for a small 16 to 18 ft Jon Boat. It...

Re: Club meeting
If paying by venmo I can't remember how much the big red and big trout side pots are. I know the tournament is $40 per team but how much are the side pots I can never remember.

Re: NFRS STEINHATCHEE RESULTS
That tournament was very well run for a first-time tournament. I didn't see any issues and if there were any they were probably minor. I bet you this series could become very popular and even bigger in the future . It's always a fun time with the local club guys ! I can't wait till Panacea! We get t...

Re: Jack's
I'm sorry about the confusion Jacks was $2,000 high and they didn't mention any of the cool offers available right now which was surprising considering all the incredibly nice things I've heard about that place. Maybe I just look like I don't know what I'm doing or like a dummy but they definitely w...
