Re: Can't find the triggers
Good posts. Wouldn’t take an offshore trip for one trigger, even assuming you could catch one >15”. Kind of like a 36” AJ.

Re: Strangest catch.
Boga...there is no imitation. I'd recommend putting a float on the lanyard so you don't donate it back to the river. I had a redfish on one time and it thrashed and went to the bottom with the Boga holding it down. Fortunately we were in a shallow creek but it was a little chilly to be swimm...

Re: Did anyone go
I went on Sunday. Pretty rough but going slow with tabs down was ok, just took a while. Caught our two snapper and many more but that’s all. Pretty day otherwise. This coming weekend looks ROUGH.

Re: Carrabelle Boat Storage
Pretty sure EddieJoe kept his boat at the Bayou storage Rocky is referring to. Don't believe it's fully enclosed. Maybe EJ will respond or send a PM. Yes, I did 5 or more years ago. It’s still there but don’t know conditions now. Pole barn with aluminum siding storage units. Lockable but not very s...
Re: Capsized
Careful. This plays into the commercial argument that the allowable harvest should be divided up into the entire population and each “personal quota” could be sold. So open recreational fishing would cease. If you wanted to go fishing and keep a fish you would have to buy a permit first. Of course ...
Re: Capsized
Seems like I did a bid a while back for some Coast Guard land along the East side of the Carabelle River right at the mouth. I didn't win the bid, but they own the land down there and I thought they had a sizeable boat docked at the same parcel. - Steve Stinson There is a big mother ship there and ...
Re: Capsized
Not saying this is the case here but it's one of the reason I'd like to see fish tags being implemented instead of a short season. People tend to push the envelop on fishing when they only have a limited amount of time to catch fish. If we were given an allotted amount of tags that can be used at a...
Re: Capsized
Certainly a learning opportunity for everyone, myself included. After the accident in St. Marks earlier this year, I have used my kill switch and life-jackets while underway religiously - and I owe that to this forum. What do most folks out there use in terms of ditch bags, inflatable rafts, epirb,...

Re: Eddie Joe?
No sign. No bait, no fish. One cut off drifting that might have been a king or shark. I dunno.

Re: Eddie Joe?
Oh, hey! My fishing slacking some, but frankly haven’t looked at this forum much because so few fishing related posts. That and life as an old goat catching up with me. Going on Monday to fish for Kings, maybe a cobia will show.

Re: Rod For Penn Senator 4/0
If you want a custom rod, please do. However, I have two BPS stand up rods that are right for a 4/0 and can be had for $25 each. I’m in Tallahassee.

Re: Carrabelle Boat Poker Run 9/15
Thanks for the great post. Glad you had fun. When I talked on the phone to the organizer before the event, I was surprised to hear how they had it planned. Because it was a done deal and I wished the group well, I didn’t really say much except “thanks”. But I knew I wasn’t going to enter. Poker runs...

Carrabelle Boat Poker Run 9/15
Did anyone here participate in this event or know how it went? I had some interest in it but after discussing the rules and procedure with the promoters decided it wasn’t for me.
