Jim Black Hatch 11x23 White - SOLD
Originally purchased to replace the pie hole in my splashwell on my 17 Master Angler. Didnt measure between the splashwell and the hatch is too big. Still in the plastic, the best made hatch I've ever seen. They sell new for $85 plus shipping, I'd like $80 obo. Local to Tallahassee. I can email/text...

Re: Bait Runner Reels Worth the Weight and Complexity??
I'm from South FL, I've had BR for years, nk mostly for drifting live baits offshore or tarpon inshore. I never used them much for snook because we would need something with a bit more drag to keep them out of the docks. That being said, if you fish live baits and like to put the road down and forge...

Re: Inshore boat review?
Always love the, "How far off can I go in boat X", if you have to ask, not very far. I run a 17 Master Angler, I routinely ran it 15 plus, sometimes out to 20 miles in South Florida, but i knew my boat and I knew that part of the ocean and what weather to look for. I also had the appropria...

Re: Inshore boat review?
How skinny do you want to get? There is a tradeoff for everything, if you want to not worry about low tide, that's gonna sacrifice open water handling and vice versa, if you are plugging around in 3-4 ft of water all the time it would make less difference, but it the three boats listed all do differ...

What rpms are you hitting at wot? If you are concerned about the hull being water logged, take it to a set of scales and weigh it. You can figure about what it should weigh by the manufacturer's specs on the hull, motor and aguestimate on fuel and additions.

1. Pathfinder 2200 TE or TRS 2. Any other Pathfinder model you can afford. 3. See 1 and 2. But......I might be a bit biased in my opinion. I would agree with this. I wouldn't be scared of Blackjack, Dorado, Schaefer, Gause, Sabalo, Canyon Bay, Shearwater. Something in the 22-26ft range, power...

I have been wearing costas for the last 20 years or so, 15 of those happily. I currently have 6 pairs at my house, which only one doesn't have a broke lense or cracked frames. Costa makes some darn good glass, but there frames are junk. The last pair I broke cracked right down the nose piece in half...

Re: EPIRB
That's a PLB, not an EPIRB. An EPIRB is registered to a vessel, plb to a person. Where are you located?

St. Marks currently, been moving further west as of lately. Still learning things, mostly tides around here. Not a big trout guy so I've been working on the cobes, tripletail and reds.Greenbone wrote:UFB , where do you fish out? I fish out of Carrabelle mostly but still hit StMarks occasionally .

Re: Off Shore On a Flats Boat
Nice, just saw your post on mbg forum. I have a 99 17MA, new to the area and still learning the weather a bit. I used to run out to 20 miles off Stuart in my 17, but I was a little more familiar with things down there. I'll hAve to keep an eye out for ya.Greenbone wrote:UFB , that's '93 Master Angler 18.5

Re: 24 Volt Trolling Motor Batteries Question
Replace both, Deka AGM have always served me well. They private label a bunch of batteries for different people, I think I pay about $150 a piece, mine are going on 5 years old, no issues. A good charger is also key to keeping batteries in good shape, the cheap ones are harder on batts than you thin...

Double bag ice and place in adequate water with an aerator, the cold.water slows down their metabalism and need for o2. You don't want aNY oF the ice water leaking. I've down this numerous times overnight in South Florida to get an early start the next morning.
