Re: Tournament Question: Seeking Input

I would probably fish more tournaments if they were CPR(catch, photo, release). I guess I am in the minority.

Re: Fishing the wind

Had the same issue with my 14' Carolina Skiff j14. It was basically a fiberglass jon boat. Flat bottom and a wet, rough ride but it got me where I needed to be to catch lots of fish. It was a love hate relationship. Anyway, putting in at Econfina can sometimes help. East and South winds are tough fo...

Re: Are the fish on the flats at St. Marks?

I found myself asking the same question yesterday while exercising my casting arm in 3-4 feet of water. Fished a lot of good looking areas with little to show for it. Water temp started at 62 degrees and at 3:30 it was 68. Fished flats, grass lines and creek mouths with out finding any concentration...

Re: Fishing line????????????

Personally, I like all of the Sufix products. For mono I use the Sufix Siege in the "smoke green". Sufix 832 for braid in the same color. As for leader, I have been sticking with clear Ande.

Re: SKEG Repair

Another thing to consider, I had heard that the lower unit should be removed prior to any welding due to the possibility of electronic component damage. Such as the control module, sensors etc. I'm not sure if there is a way to prevent this by isolating electronics or grounding the engine or even if...

Re: Thoughts on chartplotter/sonar

I would recommend any option that has good satellite overlay. I know Navionics Plus has a good image and it also has Community Edits and updates. Fellow Navionics Plus users can and do share rock locations which do not show up on maps.

Re: What am I doing wrong

Trolled in the St. Marks river early Sunday while waiting for some water to come in, caught a 30" Redfish. Then moved to a bar near the river mouth and picked up a 23" and an 18" Trout. By then the water was getting in so I moved to some creeks and picked up four more Reds and a few T...
