Re: Looking for rod holders

Have you considered flush mounted holders? That’s the way I’ll eventually go. I initially considered flush mounts David but the way the hull is sloped, they won't fit anywhere except over a rod box or storage compartment and I don't want that. I'd have bet money I had seen the exact style of the PV...

Re: Looking for rod holders

Thank you. I had looked at those and because of the mounting bracket style I don't think they will fit into the corners where I want them. I may have to pick another location.

Looking for rod holders

I want to add a couple of rod holders near the bow on the bay boat and can't find the style I need.. They're going to be mounted in corners and the single PVC rod holders are a good fit but I don't want the PVC ones. I thought I had seen the same style holders in stainless steel but don't remember w...

Re: Eastpoint / Apalach report

Yeah, I vacuum seal and freeze the filets in dated bags.. I haven't had any get freezer burn but if there are any bags left after 6 months, they go into the pond. Haven't had a soggy filet yet. A buddy freezes his in water and claims they keep longer that way. Had a great time and the fishing was go...

Re: Eastpoint / Apalach report

I'm glad you caught more that I did down there recently. What was the water temp? I didn't notice the water temps. This morning was low tide and a strong north wind blew the water out of the bay. Had to idle half way back to the ramp before I found 2 ft of water. Still managed another limit of trou...

Eastpoint / Apalach report

Spending a few days of fishing at Sportsman's Lodge in Eastpoint... fishing conditions yesterday were almost perfect but the water is still stained and there's a lot of fresh water left from recent rains. Only put 1- 18" trout in the cooler. The wind is blowing a mini hurricane today but I stil...

Re: Juan sighting on Hoochie The Other Day!

Can’t hide money  Nice looking day y’all You should know! :smt005 It was a nice day on the river. The big lizards were sun bathing and OD was fly fishing. I think he caught a few flies. The water wasn't running so the stripe and hybrid bite was off. I was bass fishing... caught one 4.5 lb but ...
