Re: Xpress Shallow Water Bay 22

Yup, the SW22B is your boat. Put that order in now because the wait times I'm seeing from folks on the Xpress boat owners Facebook pages are several - 6 months out. Stoked for ya and a preliminary welcome to the Xpress family. Kirt and Jason will give ya all the right info on waterproofing and setup...

Re: Xpress Shallow Water Bay 22

Here's a 20' for sale in Perry: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/607885380172536/ Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk That's a regular H20B, non SW/tunnel. Still a great boat and probably the best riding aluminum hull for a bay boat out there. Reasonable price for a reasonably newer boa...

Re: Xpress Shallow Water Bay 22

There are a couple floating around St Marks, Jay (forgot his name on here) has a sw20b and loves it. They're great skinny water boats. Rough chop in a tunnel always sucks, but manageable at lower speeds. I have the 185 Skiff and if I didn't have this I'd likely have the SW20B instead. The SW22 is a ...

Re: Trim Tabs: Self-Leveling vs Electric

Deep V ? V hulls will typically wander a bit at lower speeds. Search "low speed wander" on thehulltruth, same story across the board. There are a few things that help, but will never 'solve.' - trim up more on motor - switch to 4 blade - tabs (if have) all the way down, ('ehh) - hydrofoil,...

Re: Red Fish Tournament!

If we didn't have the NFRS tourney that weekend I'd be in. Anything out of Panacea is always a blast. Glad to see a two-day back on the books!

Holler at Barry Bevis with Bevis Realty, aka site owner and a heck of a guy. He has helped several members here find their home.

Nope. A lot more than that. Search "NMEA 2000 Network, Garmin, VHF" in Google.

Re: garmin

do you already have a powered NMEA2000 (or 0183?) backbone? NMEA connects are not simply plug and play, they must be powered and then connect through a series of T-connectors.

Re: St. Mark’s Set Up.

If you're going to be fishing gulp, you better bring a lot - a ton of toothy critters roaming right now. I recommend something more durable, like a Zman. Flats are on fire right now, drop that leader to 24", 1/8oz jig head. Have a good time. Don't hesitate to throw topwaters early, or even some...

Charlie, where are you located at? I rarely keep fish but would be happy to hand one over to you next casual trip out. Will call you when it happens.

Re: Lanark this Saturday

I don't fish kill tournaments so I don't have a dog in this deal but Lanark this Saturday afternoon seems like not the best idea. I spend a lot of time down there and I won't even go there on Saturday. It's private property, membership required. There won't be one square inch of space to park even ...

Re: St Marks NWR - 02 May 2021

Wading the bars whenever possible - I hate fishing out of a kayak but sometimes you have to. It's so much less aggravating wading then being in a kayak. Gotcha. We saw someone throwing the fly from a kayak on Sunday morning when we rolled out of the lighthouss. It looked exhausting. sent from the K...
